I have to admit: The first time, I heard this story, I couldn't believe it was true. Even though there is a lot of controversy in India about crypto currencies, in July 2017, the Indian Altcoin Rupee got introduced to investors.
In the first couple of months, it did nothing at all, with an average price of around 0,4 USD and fluctuations in price of +/- 10%, it wasn't even an interesting coin.
Nevertheless, on September 26th, its big day had come - 2800% in one day! People turned millionaires. Everyone who didn't sell that day nevertheless very soon lost again hundreds of thousands of dollars.
While most crypto currencies only really peak once or twice over around 1-2 years, the Rupee coin peaked 3 TIMES in only a matter of 5 months. If you would have bought and sold at the right times and if you would have invested only 1000 USD in the beginning, you might be a multi billionaire today (3x a gain of 2000%+).
Will it peak again soon? Who knows?! At least, I am invested!
