Always a great fan of this flavorful dish. You can't find a single non veg people who don't love Biryani in South East Asian countries. In this post, I will write about preparing the Chicken Biryani in my own style. For this, I had used the following ingredients for 4 people.
Chicken: 1.5 kg
Ginger/Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon
Bay Leaves
Coriander Seeds
Cumin Seeds
Cardamom
Black cardamom
Basmati Rice
Cloves
Black Pepper
Butter or Ghee
Sour Curd/Yogurt
Onion
Chili Powder
Sal
Biryani is all about mixing the chicken meat with ground spices ingredients, which I have listed above to give it a great smell and taste.
First you have to cook chicken meat by cooking it in a pressure cooker. Put cinnamon, bay leaves, cardamom, black cardamom, cloves and black pepper. I turned off the gas after the pressure regulator moved one time up.
In a dish, put some ghee or butter and fry onion until it turned brown. After it turned brown, put some garlic/ginger paste and stir it. After that put some curd over there and let it boil for sometime.
Wash Basmati rice and strain the excess water.
Pour the rice over the dish and sprinkle some salt over it. Cover the lid of the dish and let it cooked for sometime.
After sometime pour your chicken meat from the pressure cooker to the dish and stir it uniformly.
You can add Biryani color that can be easily found in the market.
After adding it is ready to be served. The smell of butter and ground spices ingredients is what makes Biryani the most tastiest dish.
