So friends, this evening I have just a few photos of my #aliveandthriving Sunday that I would like to share with you.
So first the day started after taking care of the Kitties here and house chores with feeding Dozer. I had not seen him for a few days and thought they might have moved him, but no he was still there living under the floor of the old shad next door, and today he came out to see me!
Here I just tossed him a head of lettuce - he's eyeing it,
And then he decided to stop wasting time and go for it,
And all done - already!
I love this guy, and he has gotten to where he "winks at me" that is truly awesome!
A little later in the afternoon I went out again, and drove over to the Park instead of taking the bike. It gave me a little better opportunity to walk around.
So first the Fishing Pier had quite a few people,
And these guys came in from fishing in the Channel,
Then I caught something I had not seen before! Unfortunately the wingtip is out of the frame but...
I caught a Seagull carrying Seagrass in its beak! I am sure they must do this all the time - but I have never seen it before!
And something else I saw for the first time this year, a Grass skipper on a Sea Oxeye Daisy!
Here it's wings are closed,
And here starting to open,
Since it was not opening them further I walked over to the side and got this view,
These Grass skippers are kind of rare by the water, they are mostly in lawns - but here is one!
And finally, a look at the Shade Structure today - somewhat "hazy",
And some other people heading back out,
And that was my #aliveandthriving Sunday!
