Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!

It is #wednesdaywalk #20 of 2026, and Spring 2026 is heating up!
But first as always I want to thank for this community -
"Thank You"!
And so for this weeks #wednesdaywalk I stuck pretty close to home - the weather has been pretty much unpredictable so I didn't want to take any chances. We have been having some pretty severe "pop-up" Showers here, so better to stay in the Island!
And so to get started I rode my bike down the street and saw my friends "Mexican Olive tree",
And a little closer,
Yes indeed the Olives are about to start falling - "everywhere"!
Leaving there, I continued on to the Park and this was the first thing I saw,
I moved a little closer,
It is a Great Blue Heron, staring...
And I also saw this "Duck pair". They have been around a few days now and I do hope they make it! With the Duck Hunters here (early autumn) I hope they migrate somewhere safe!
Here the male is in the water,
And here he is either getting a drink, or hunting. The female is always by his side,
This I am going to sneak in. I went back this afternoon as all of these photos are from yesterday and I saw them again in a rain puddle,
I hope they do not use me as a gage for trusting humans!
Leaving the Park I rode up the street and saw these Sunflowers growing in a ditch,
And also these Wildflowers, mostly Daisies and Firewheels,
And a little bit closer,
I also took a photo of this Sunflower,
And a single plant, so that you could see what they look like,
And from there I headed home, the occasional rain drop was starting and I wanted to stay dry!
And that was my #wednesdaywalk this week, I want to thank you again for your visit - "Stay Blessed, Safe, and Happy"!
Please Take Care of Your Loved Ones, "All - Ways"
