As we are now in the mid-month of the first BER_months here in my country, malls are now starting to display Christmas trees. One of the reasons why somehow the incoming celebration was exciting. Each mall had an area for countdown the days plus incredible, unique decorations.
And so, while walking around last weekend before going to the bus terminal, I intentionally dropped by the Robinsons Galleria just for the Christmas tree. Yes, this will be the one I will share for today's #wednesday walk hosted by and #makemesmile by
.
You can already feel the spirit of the incoming festive season at the entrance. The Christmas lights adorn together with the current Christmas theme. As I stepped inside, I heard a familiar melody.
Hark! how the bells
sweet silver bells
All seem to say
throw cares away.
Christmas is here
bringing good cheer
To young and old
meek and bold
It was still early, so there were only a few shoppers, which I loved better. Since the chaos worldwide happened, I prefer a smaller crowd. Still, I spotted these two oldies resting while enjoying watching the performance of this local musician.
Kudos to the management for placing chairs, nope rocking chairs where everyone could rest after a tiring shopping.
The countdown area, which a number hasn't been placed yet, but I am sure that day it was 100 days left. White and gold with a shade of blue is the theme color?
After a few more steps, I saw more string lights adorned on the ceiling, which looked like a chandelier.
Did you spot the Yule tree? If not, here is the more explicit photo;
I stopped walking for a while while leaning into the wall, trying to savor and internalize the moment. I may no longer be a kid, but still, I can't help but appreciate it a bit, as when I was a kid, only rich people in our neighborhood could afford to decorate their homes. Not only that, I seldom see one as we are living in the mountainous part of an island with no electricity. I can only see colorful lights if I will tagged along with my brother to attend Simbang gabi (night mass). However, that means walking for a few kilometers before reaching the church. No wonder I am so slim back then, lol.
I could see a few families taking their selfies together with the kids. Judging how little bosses giggle, they are enjoying.
These cute white deer swing back and forth as the music plays.
At the back was a sparkling crystal tree. It looks like white Christmas as cotton balls are scattered on the ground to give an illusion of snow.
Beside the cute deer is a standee of angel wings, a queen with blowing trumpets. This is where shoppers take photos as a remembrance. The idea was perfect as the area was quite limited. Placing a couch would only make it crowded.
As much as I wanted to have a photo too, I can't because no one is with me. Selfie was not advisable, approaching anyone? I felt shy, and I could not always act with no shame.
I would love to stand here and pretend to enter the gate going to? One more glance, and I leave. As much as I wanted to stay, I chose not to, as I still needed to go somewhere to buy things required for my upcoming vacation. Besides, I saw that the departed store section was RED. Sale, sale, sale, before I would get tempted, I walked away.
Hello everyone, Happy Wednesday. How's the preparation in your country? Were there also decorations now like in mine?
