Had a BLT today, forgot to take a picture! But I have some pictures from the past week or two to share. One bite taken out of this BLT; the bread is gluten-free, by "Udi", and the bacon is store-bought; the rest we grew! Tomato, lettuce, and a cucumber on the side.
Note that I prepare the bread, which makes it much better than "normal". It's fairly simple: I have a very fine sprayer (a "mister" perhaps?) with water in it, and spray four times on each side of the bread, then toast it. This makes it crisp without being too hard; I'm really happy to have found this method! Gluten-free bread tends to be a little denser than other bread to begin with, and toasting it usually makes it even harder, so this works great. :)
A boxed Indian meal, with added chopped onions (store-bought); and, from the garden, tomatoes, cucumbers, and hot peppers, with chives as garnish on top. The first picture shows the box it came in; second is close-up of the meal:
This was really good, and the hot pepper made it even better! I'm pretty sure I used two peppers for that meal, one lemon drop pepper, and one Serrano pepper. Saved the seeds as well, and plan to give them away somehow, over the winter.
Enjoy!
