I went to the train station canteen the other day to get myself a coffee, there was only 1 kid in front of me who had an interesting conversation with the staff.
Staff: "How can I help you?"
Kid: "Do you have Coke?"
Staff: "Yes we do".
Kid: "Hmm, Ok I don’t want that, do you have Fanta?"
Staff: "Yes we do"
Kid: "Nah, I don’t want that"
The staff then paused and looked at the kid with a bit of confusion.
Staff: "…., ok what do you want then?"
Kid: "I'll take a Sprite please"
What a roundabout way of getting what you want, initially I thought the kid was being silly, but his attitude was pretty genuine and polite.
I think that’s the reason that the staff didn’t get too annoyed, maybe the kid was just checking out what is available for next time?
