Hello my dear steemit friends, today I'm gonna continue to share with you our world trip and the part in Africa. We took the night train from Zimbabwe to Zambia.

We have friends who were volunteers in a welfare primary school in Zambia and they were teaching English and math. They were four people and all from the same university in Switzerland. Many universities have volunteer organization and students can spend the summer vacation to go to the underdeveloped countries do volunteering. I think it's a good way for young people to learn more about our world and make a difference in it.
到赞比亚是因为有朋友在那里做志愿者，教授英文和数学，他们一行四人，全部来自瑞士的同一所大学，许多大学都有志愿者招募这样的组织，感兴趣的同学可以利用暑假去往不发达国家做志愿者。年轻人不仅仅可以去看看世界，也可以去试着让它变得不同。
The host and school founder is a local guy, he speaks fluent English. He used to work in the copper mine which belongs to a large Swiss company. Working as a copper worker is extremely hard and bad for health, it also caused Zambia serious environmental pollution, but Swiss company claimed that they bring the jobs to Zambia, and have repeatedly asked Zambia government to reduce tax, otherwise they will move the factory out of Zambia.
朋友的host兼福利学校的负责人ivor是当地人，说流利的英文，聪明诚恳，曾经在瑞士某大型企业驻赞比亚分公司的铜矿拼了命一样的做了十年的采铜工人，采铜工作极其辛苦，并且危害切身健康，甚至给赞比亚当地也带来了严重的环境污染，然而瑞士公司声称带给了赞比亚就业岗位，一再要求赞比亚当地政府减税，如若不然就将工厂搬出赞比亚。曾经看过真实的有关该企业的纪录片，由于巨大的经济利益，即使被曝出工人被当作苦力压榨，而且身体承受巨大的危害，依旧不做出任何改善，而该公司总部在瑞士一个叫zug的小城，该城市以低税收著称，因此吸引了许多土豪和跨国企业。
It reminds me of a documentary called "Jeans", the movie "blood diamond", and a Pulitzer prize-winner also has reported about the fishing slave in Myanmar. However, although people were watching this realistic events with angry tears, people still will save three months salary to buy those useless diamond, crocodile skin bags are still so popular in the market.
想起曾经看过的有关牛仔裤的纪录片，电影血钻，获得普利策奖的有关缅甸鱼奴的真实报道，然而虽然人们在看到这些影片时愤怒的流泪，但是依然会为无用但美丽的钻石戒指存下三个月的工资，鳄鱼皮钱包皮带依旧在市场上大受欢迎，而在亚洲非洲的那些血汗公厂，工人们依然为了微薄的薪水在化学污染和有毒气体中苦苦谋生。
After working ten years in copper factory Ivor quit the job, and he worked in a welfare house for a period of time, at present he manage a welfare private primary school in a poor village. In Zambia primary schools are not obligatory and not free, people have to pay $25 for three months, for most families, schools are unaffordable.
The school was founded two years ago, there has been no water and electricity, so it couldn't can't attracted volunteers. There are only a teacher and two classes with 80 students in each class. The salary of the teacher and the cost of the food for more than hundred students was all sponsored by Ivor and the people who donated for his project.
ivor之后辞掉了采铜工作，去福利院工作了一段时间之后建立起了一所希望小学，赞比亚的公立学校三个月要缴费25美元，很多家庭无法负担。学校成立了有两年，一直没有水电，所以也无法招募志愿者，只有一名老师，两个班级，每个人班级平均都有80名学生，老师的工资和这一百多名学生的伙食费全靠ivor一人支撑，靠他经营的airbnb和联系到的志愿者所交的费用。
Ivor took us to visit the village, we saw the local villagers was digging a well and seemed like have a bit water overflow, Ivor told us that they have been digging for five days already. It was extremely hot in Zambia, the sun was burning like a fireball, the air was heating. By the side of the well there were few locals cooking the special African corn flour on the fire for the workers, and we stood next the fire, I felt I almost baked.
Ivor带我们去参观希望小学所在村子，我们看到当地村名正在打井，已经打了五天，似乎有水迹溢出，深井里传来沉重的锤打声，偶尔打井人也会发出吼声来加强力度，我终于明白为什么古人说“喝水不忘打井人”。旁边有村民在为几个打井人做非洲特有的玉米面糊，我们站在火堆旁边，烟熏火燎的铁锅里冒着热气，而头顶上的烈日烤得皮肤都要焦了，这我才意识到这是非洲啊，在酷热和干旱这样极端的天气里生存又是格外艰难。
It was hard to believe, those callused old hands are from a 10 years old boy.
简直难以置信，这样一双充满沧桑的老手竟来自一个10岁的孩子。
Many children in the village were curious about us and joyful with taken pictures, they were showing us around in the village, most of them were even ragged, but they were still truly innocent and happy. They and Ivor showed us their school, and Ivor raised some chickens to subsidize the school.
村子里的好多孩子看见我们之后都出来了，很开心的任由我们拍照，一路带我们在村子里逛，虽然衣衫褴褛，但他们真的都很天真快乐，是那种无拘无束的快乐。他们和Ivor一起带我们参观了他们的学校，Ivor养了一些鸡，打算用卖出的钱来资助学校。
There are many people's life that we can't even hardly imagine. Once I heard a sentence that you are always envy the people who can always buy new shoes, until one day you see someone with no feet. The sentence has always followed me, comforting me and making me satisfied of my own life.
这个世界上有很多人过着我们无法触及的生活。曾经听过一句话，“你总是羡慕可以经常买新鞋穿的人，直到有一天，你看到一个没有脚的人。” 这句话也一直跟随着我，时刻安慰我，让我懂得知足常乐。
