Today's Work out
Just one bong rip of some Cherry OG.
•1 mile jog to local park where they have pull up bars.
•10 basic pull ups
•Palms outward pulling yourself up at a steady pace
•1 Minute elbow plank
•10 chin ups
Palms inward coming up all the way until your chin passes the bar
15 leg raises hanging alternating left, right, and middle.
•Do these slow moving only your legs. Your chin should be upward and your upper torso completely still
10 Commando Pull ups
•One palm inward and the other outward pulling yourself up until your shoulder touches the bar alternating left and right side.
30 Chest to knee Sit ups.
25 regular push up
15 leg raises hanging alternating left, right, and middle.
8 Neutral grip pull ups
•These are pull up where you can do on monkey bars for instance. Instead of using just one bar you use two bars. Grip on the two bars parallel to each other and start working from there.
1 mile jog back home.
Work out Review:
I took just one bong rip today instead of three, and I did that on purpose. The reason behind this is to test out a new variation of working out stoned. I took a rip of the Cherry I had recently picked up, and I was feeling good. I start my jog to that new lil Uzi song(I like working out to bangers) and off I was to simms park.
I had a little more trouble getting into the 'zone,' and with just a one mile jog it was hard to stay concentrated. I didn't feel winded at all but I did notice I was bored.
Mid Work out:
Once I got to the park I start my calisthenics work outs. Starting with10 basic pull ups. I love pulls ups because they are great for working out your explosive energy. Explosive work-outs are work-outs you do in short burst of high energy, basically giving it everything you got. I use explosive energy a lot in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Finishing a submission or escaping a submission is when you'll notice your explosive energy.
In the middle of the calisthenics work – out I did notice that I was a lot more concentrated and determined to finish strong. The Cherry I had smoked had just set in before I started my calisthenics exercises. Music still banging I was in the zone. It took me a total of 20 min to finish the calisthenics. I took 30 seconds breaks in between, but during the breaks I felt eager to begin the next exercise. I felt light headed after the commando pull ups. But it didn't slow me down at all, it motivated me more.
End Work out:
After the pull ups and sit ups I start my jog back home. I had only one bong rip so the effects had already started to dwindle down.. At first my breath was heavy; splitting my jog in half I was find more challenging. You never really sync into a “runners high,” when you split it up, (that's kind of the point). When you force yourself to keep going when you're tired you're mental game increases. Which is also really beneficial when training MMA or BJJ.
The Cherry is definitely a nice mellow stoned while working out. It kept me concentrated and centered. I liked it because it helped me get my mind off my lack of cardio.
