My son, a friend and I played a couple of rounds of disc golf at the local eighteen. I lost the first round and came in second on the second round with a +4 score. It was pretty windy and I jumped into playing the round without any kind of warmup. I could have predicted the outcome. I think as an older player the warmup time is critical to playing a good round. At least I know enough not to throw really hard until I have taken at least a few easy throws.
The spring weather is tough to play in when there is a mixture of wind and rain. It was really fun to be out on the course though and the sun did come out for just a little bit.
There were a couple of other people that joined up with us for part of some of the rounds. It started raining harder towards the end of the second round and one person bolted out towards the cars without playing the last two holes.
Some tree flowers that I photographed out on the walk today:
I'm not sure if I want to play in the disc golf league this Sunday. My son can't make it so it would not be as much fun for me. It sounds like it is going to be a wet rainy windy day. I usually don't like to play in that kind of weather.
