Well, it was not my best round but at least I got a lot of steps in playing disc golf in the tournament today. I started out doing fine with a couple of birdies right at the start but then I got a bit tired and it started raining.
I am not the best in wet weather rounds and I threw a bunch of drives too nose up. I have trouble doing that sometimes even when it is dry though. It was still fun to be out on the course.
I took some of my script I won in a past round and bought a new disc. It is a bright red Westside Tournament Sword disc. They have been kind of hard to find and when I saw one at 171 grams I bought it on a whim. I lost a 164 gram Sword in the wind a while back. I really thought this disc would be a lot more stable than the one I lost but on the first throw it turned really hard and seemed way less stable. Rather than be tempted to use it in the round I put it the car.
I will need to throw it more to see how it flies. Hopefully the first throw was just a result of too much anhyzer, wind, or something but I was not expecting the result I got.
