Hello my friends from steem, in advance I want to thank you for the great support you have given me in such a short time that I have been in this wonderful site, today I would like to tell you about one of the greatest dreams I have wanted to make in my life. lifetime…
Well, I consider myself a woman of belief (Catholic), and the truth is I am too devoted to the virgin of Guadalupe, I have too much faith.
One of my biggest dreams has been to travel to Mexico and visit the Cathedral of the Virgin, and I would like to do it in his day (December 12).
The celebrations begin from December 11 at midnight with the popular serenade to the Virgin of Guadalupe.
According to the Mexican tradition, on December 9, 1531, the first of four apparitions of the Virgin of Guadalupe occurred to the native named Juan Diego, during that stage of the apparitions, Mexico went through a period known as the spiritual conquest.
History
Juan Diego lived in a place where there were no churches, to attend mass had to move to Santa Cruz de Tlatelolco, in his walk, a song that was not from this land caught his attention, he saw a bright sun and in the middle of a lady In an attitude of prayer, in this as in the three subsequent apparitions, the lady asked the Indian for her wish that a temple be built in that place and also instructed her to communicate that wish to the bishop.
The bishop and the parish priests of the region did not take seriously the words of that native.
Juan Diego had two more appearances, always with the same request from the Virgin, since they did not believe him, the bishop asked for a test.
Juan Diego, disillusioned and worried about the health of his uncle, decides not to go any more to the place where the virgin appeared.
On December 12 of the same year Juan Diego hurried in search of a priest who would administer the last sacraments to his uncle, during his journey, he passed by the Tepeyac again and the virgin came back to him asking him what it was that afflicted him .
Juan Diego told him what was happening, the virgin told him not to worry, that his uncle was already healthy and asked him to go up to the hill to pick some flowers.
She did so, she found very beautiful roses outside the season, flowers that had never been given in those lands, she placed the ones she could in her ayate, the most holy virgin asked her to take them to the Bishop but only in front of him to unfold his ayate.
The Indian Juan Diego was received by Bishop Zumárraga around noon, and when the ayate was deployed they appreciated how several roses of Castile fell while the painted image of the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared on the blanket.
A short time later he began the construction of the church of the brunette virgin in the neighborhood known today as the village.
In the year 2002 the Indian Juan Diego was elevated to a saint by the Catholic Church.
Currently, the Basilica of Guadalupe is one of the most visited places by millions of Mexicans who come to pay their promises or ask for a miracle
Also, hundreds of tourists come to know the place where the fabric of Juan Diego's ayate is displayed in a painting.
The mantle has been investigated several times by various national and international scientists and to date no logical explanation has been found of the perfect state of conservation of the ayate in which the image of the Virgin was captured.
In 1824, the Congress of the Nation declares December 12 as National Holiday.
Traditions
Every December 11th at midnight (to dawn on the 12th) thousands of Mexicans congregate with offerings, songs and artists recognized before the altar sing the mañanitas to the virgin.
Also in the homes there are rosaries and dances to honor the virgin, in which a typical food is offered for the festival called "relic" which is offered to neighbors, family, dancers and all those who come to the celebration.
