empty feeder
With this post in our lovely #community this Friday for the #MarketFriday by 
I will show you a part of my #morning in the #Highlands of #Scotland when I did feed the birds in our #garden.
It rained most of the night and early morning 🌧️🌧️🌧️

These 35 photographs are all taken with my #iPhone 🤓 on 24 February 2023 📱in the highlands of Scotland.
So as mentioned, it rained and everything was wet. When I saw it had stopped, I put quickly some shoes on… gathered some bird food for our 2 containers/feeders that are in the trees:
The bag with loose seeds…
And out of this box 4 balls.
As you can see… many balls for the birds are in there.
As said in the text in this photo: “A LITTLE ACT OF FEEL GOOD” (all credit to Peckish)
It helps the birdies through the #winter #season too 🥰
Funny though… first I bought a little plastic bag that contained 6 of these balls with seeds for the birds. Cost about 5£… than last time I went to get some more bird food.
I saw this cardboard box with 160 balls, same brand. For only 14£. 🤓
You can guess what I bought. I think everybody would buy the big box for that price. And less plastic waste too.
I must say… the balls are slightly different, in colour and contain less seeds.
As long as the birdies like them 😎 all is good, right?
Walking outside into the back garden.
Up some steps…
We see the other empty feeder:
This one gets the 4 seed balls for the birdies 😎
The other one gets the loose seeds.
Now we are up in the garden, let’s have a look around. As I notice something… 😊
Spring is coming… and the trees and bushes are showing their first signs of it 😎🥰 YAY!
I walk to the top and look back at the view… no snow left ☃️ such a different view, don’t you think?
Next to me I find the first flowers 🌸 #alwaysaflower
Walking down the steps I see the tiny moss with rain droplets 💧 it all is still wet… 🌧️🌧️🌧️
Zoomed in very far…
More signs that spring is coming.
The lavender starts getting green leaves.
More flower buds appeared. Let’s keep a close eye on them the next weeks 🌺🌺🌺
Looking up we see one feeder on the right (ok, this is about in the middle of the garden)
On the left the other one… 😊
As soon as I got inside, I heard and saw the birds come…
The next photos are taken through the window and zoomed in, hope the quality is still ok 🤓
We see some birds on and under the feeder on the left.
And another bird on the right feeder with the balls of seeds. Most are sparrows.
On the ground we see a robin. Do you see it?
This is just moments after I went inside… 😎
So many birds are gathering, looks like they are hungry. I noticed I am the only one feeding them on this mountain.
Zoomed in a bit more.
Another robin comes along too… 😊
Some black birds join us too… on the ground they feed from the seeds the others spill out of the feeder.
It’s keeping a close eye on me hehehe 🤭
More are joining it, and all do look what I am doing.
They must think; “What’s that woman doing there with that thing? Is she looking at us?”

They eat and eat… looking with one eye in my direction.
A few more birds on the feeder.
A beautiful male black bird.
Another bird in the bushes on a branch.
I do like to see the robins… they are cute 🥰
Believe me the entire garden is full of little birdies now. And tomorrow all the seeds are gone again 😎🤓 and our #feathered friends are waiting for me…
I made a short video for you, so you can see how many birds came in the beginning… and now writing this even more joined the others in the garden.
I love seeing them… 🥰
