Technically I am still in my first week here on Steemit and so far I have learned a lot of things already although of course the learning I got is still not sufficient to be good enough to go freely with the trend and ultimately get higher rewards from those efforts made so far. I mean I can go with the bandwagon but will surely fail to be successful since I still lack a lot of weapons I need to at least carry on or sustain if not to win the battle.
Before going further, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the following for their undying support without yet to expect something in return. I know in due time your great efforts in guiding and helping newbies like me will be given its due credit.
So please kindly receive my sincere appreciations, I hope I didn’t forget to mention someone:
And of course to this guy who remains a mystery to me LOL, I mean being a newbie I didn’t know why he has this power, like a superhero that when he drops by your content and upvote it you will automatically gain high rewards. I wonder who else round here with the same power.
Now going back to what I really wanted to convey in this blog, I would like to speak in behalf of all newbies out there hope in our imperfections and limitations (ignorance with the ins and outs of being a Steemian) we will be understood.
All that encompasses in this article came from my observation in my first few days here, my suggestions or recommendation, as well as some pleading (I am like someone asking the court to grant relief, LOL) that need to be heard and considered.
Newbies need to know
Although to be equipped with the knowledge required in order to have a smooth sailing stay with Steemit it is our major duty to search for the answers on those seems unending questions in mind. Of course everyone experience this, you will never become a mentor or senior without going through the process and being a newbie is actually the first step of such a long ladder to success.
What I mean here is that although there are people who are willing to help and guide us, it is still our duties to do all the necessary things in order to learn. Reading and interacting with other members are great tools. We should not depend on our seniors all the times because I suppose they are also busy most of the times.
Oldies (Leaders) should not expect more instantly
As per my observation some members who came first than us sometimes expect too much. I mean when we are still on the process of learning the system, it would be hard for us to return back the favors immediately that is by doing the three major thing that I and everyone else think important if you want to help one another.

Resteem
When I join Steemit I know nothing about “resteem”, how to do it and what are the benefits an author will get, if his content is being re-steemed. So if a newbie missed that? He or she should be understood and considered.
Comment or replying to some other posts is simpler as well as upvoting although there are a lot of things we need to know about upvotes, voting power, voting weight, etc. And that is something I need to study more to learn more and apply it to my daily activities.
We are free to write or submit anything under the sun
Now since we belong to a writing/blogging site in addition to being involved in crypto-currencies, it is inherent to each and every member the right to choose his desired topic, or simply about things to write and publish as long as it does not violate any rules like plagiarism, adult or abusive contents and the like. Some people seem to forget the freedom of expression wherein we should be allowed to express our thoughts and opinions on a particular issue, the comment may be positive or negative but it doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t matter to the author, after all unique as we are we should have deferent views on things and through collaboration and trading of ideas we will certainly learn.
Senior Steemians should know
Normally in the pursuit of ways on how to become fruitful here on Steemit, people tend to create groups wherein members may deliberate about some imperative things to do so as not to violate some rules at the same time make it a medium to disseminate relevant information and even considered it a place to give trivial instructions that somehow has to be followed by members.
No one can dictate
I do appreciate this move, this is one great way to help one another although everyone should think that when one has the authority being an oldies, senior or mentor, he or she definitely don’t have the right to dictate someone specially a newbie on what to do and what not to do.
I am sure that and everyone else will agree with me if I will say that our purpose of being here is not solely to earn money although I admit personally I want money and I am so sarcastic if I will say I don’t, but to help maintain a strong platform that could support its members at the same time sustain itself. The more Steemit stay longer the more people will enjoy and benefit from it.
Our Purpose
I agree with my mentors, we are called to help support the site by creating quality post more often. This is our way to contribute to the success and more success of Steemit in the future. In that way, we will also earn a substantial amount of money. It’s a win-win situation.
I believe one good reason to be here is to promote camaraderie and not to tell the world that we are good or better than other members when it comes to blogging, etc. We should respect one another and try to discern the people around us more so we will be able to understand him/her in his/her flaws.
Newbie as we are we may not know everything yet about this magnificent website but one thing certain is we know how to return the favor received. May not be today but in the near future.
Active or Not
Lastly being active should be observed in Steemit website itself not in any group chats. Sometimes we don’t realize that the people we think inactive because he or she is rarely seen on group chat is actually active in upvoting, commenting and re-steeming.
There are a lot of reason why a certain person is not active on group chats, one is they may have a problem with their internet connection and that is very acceptable reason. Another reason which I consider myself belong to, is being or having a regular offline job. I’m in the office 8 hours a day 6 days a week and almost every day I spend 2 hours more overtime. So that means less time on chatting. But it doesn’t mean less time on Steemit.
Nevertheless, I believe soon I will become a mentor or senior too. Such an undesirable but great experience will teach me how to deal with newbies when the right time comes. Overall, all is well so far and improving. I wish better position for everyone as days go by.
Happy writing and earning Steemians!
