El día de hoy presento varias imágenes de una hormiga terciopelo que encontré paseando en mi patio, no es muy usual encontrarse con este tipo de insectos, quizás por qué habitan en el subsuelo.

Se llaman terciopelo debido a que están cubiertas de vellosidad y sus colores son mezclados entre rojo, blanco, plata, oro y como este espécimen, naranja y siempre vienen con motas negras.
