Allow me to introduce myself
I make take complex ideas and make simple things, just like any writer, curator, designer, or programmer does. Another, better way of putting it, is that I make dumb things from big ideas.
A few years back I was immersed in University of British Columbia’s Creative and Critical Studies BFA program, where I learned how to make well-researched and well-made things. Since then I've found a love for technology and using it to improve people's lives. I found that love in the world of startups, where I've been helping design an app that helps teachers teach and helps students learn.
Though I'm professionally a seasoned designer, I'm a budding learner of programming. I believe there's a big future in both. With programming I have way more drive than talent and with design I have way more talent than drive. Any advice is always appreciated, and I love hearing people's stories.
In the meantime I've got a great community on instagram, where we collaborate on hex colors, glitch pictures, and post writings that are either code or poetry but no one can tell. Let's hang out there! @lucaswglenn.
PS: Whoever guesses the backdrop for this photo of myself, is guaranteed some Steem from yours truly;) Hint: Many people like myself spent a great deal of their youth there, scout-ing from side to side.
