I am trying to understand all of this. What will the effect be on traditional citizenships? Does e-residency offer any interesting investment opportunities? Who are the people who want an e-residency?
While e-residency doesn't really give me myself an advantage (https://apply.gov.ee/ - it costs EUR 100,--), I suggest you really take a look at this to understand what e-services a country can offer its citizens. In Australia there is already a lot of digitisation, but it seems to me that some of the digitisation has made life harder and more difficult. However, it seems in Estonia the digitisation has made life very much easier.
Please be so kind and leave your comments below. Is e-residency something that would interest you? How do the e-services in your country compare to the services in Estonia? E-voting is very important, in Australia the government just spent AUD 100 000 000,-- to reestablish an issued that required voting. True democracy can finally take place by putting the democratic decisions directly at the hand of the citizens.
