Aside from being busy with my vegetable plant I always find time to take good care of my ornamental plants and one of those plants that I have many collections of is my caladiums.
After being hit by a devastating typhoon I guess I lost just a few of my caladium collections and luckily I was able to regrow a lot of them a few months after. What I did to them is that right after the typhoon that whipped my plants and warped them so hard as much as possible I cut some stalks to replant for replacement and my caladiums I took all of its bulbs and replanted them in a broken laundry basin.
two months after the typhoon several of them grow back and I just waited for the others to grow before repotting them.
3 weeks more all them grow back already and so I decided to report them because they almost fighting for the space.
So from my old recycled catsup containers, I wash, brushed, dry and painted them after to look more attractive to see.
Later on, I started reporting each one of them From the basin (while repotting I notice that the bigger the bulbs the larger the foliage shows). I slowly took each bulb to transfer and to my surprise under the soil are more bulbs produced from the original caladiums I planted months ago so I only took those mother bulbs for repotting and left those new ones and still need to find more pots for it.
for my reported caladiums soil I use 25 percent dried pigs manure, 25 percent sawdust and 50 per cent of ordinary soil.
First day
one week after
New leaves are coming out and they're getting strong now. By the way, this is my favourite caladium I have. An old lady who keeps coming just to ask for some but what makes it my favourite is it rare it doesn't give babies easily so everyone wants it.
So that's all for now. I hope that all are doing great today.
