Hello everyone,
This week it's been raining here continuously and it both gives joy and a struggle for us residents here. When it rains the rainwater used to stay and do not absorb immediately because it is more on soil and several shells but only a few stones and also a bunch of banana trees that make it more problematic to dry up the soil with sunlight.
Anyway, despite that, it's the best time to do more nurturing and mulching my garden plants so I clean some space that I could make use of my additional plants.
Sawing new spinach
Now the space is cleared and I already mulch them and I also put some bamboo sticks for a temporary fence for the chickens and so today I saw some superfood spinach since the spinach in my garden is getting old and it bears many seeds so I think it's time to renew them here.
In case you don't have any idea what spinach seeds look like this is how it looks.
Removing weeds and checking my tomatoes fruits
Lately, I have been sharing with about my tomatoes and today I realised that it's getting heavy due to its several fruits and also by the rain so I instantly went to find bamboo sticks for their support and I'm happy to say that I'm so excited for my first harvest. Luckily my tomatoes grow tall or else the chicken will take the first harvest for me. Can you spot the chicken here?
Trying to grow radish and red onion from the garbage for the first time
Lastly, for this Wednesday grind, I decided to plant the radish and red onion which I pick from the market's trash last week and I've been soaking them in the water maybe they will produce roots but then only new leaves showed up so maybe they need to be in the soil so here it now I'm replanting them and let's see how it goes.
That's all for now hoping for progress in the coming days and I will surely share with you soon.
Thank you for reading this far. Hope you had a good day 😉.
