This is not a post that I was thinking of writing on Christmas day - but then again my Christmas days are not like 80% of most people's Christmas days..
I can enjoy the festive time though, but this post is not a 'christmassy' post...
After browsing through some posts just now, and observing some conversations happening right now....something suddenly struck me.....
Ouch!
....and it insisted that write it to steemit, right away...
Postmodernism is the new home off the failed marxists, ever since the 1960's.
(Wiki french philosophers charlatans, Foucault, Derrida, et al..., and various Peterson you tube presentaions, if you need to understand what postmodernism is, for this post in not about that.)
The evolution of this philosophy has now taken us to where we are today....
.... 45 genders, no truth, no history, illogical 'hate' speech, equity outcomes...i.e...marxism
This is not a political post, this is a from the hard headed business perspective...
This is about the effects it will have on steemit, in the long term.
Postmodernism includes the Social Justice Warrior mindset, the virtue signalers , and the 'left leaning' psychology (generally speaking).
Looking at steemit as not 'just' a social media platform, but as a platform for a million other business things that I have absolutely no clue about...
...but one thing is for sure ...
the platform needs to be attractive to the outside world.
..and herein lies a problem....In my opinion.
Postmodernist 'logic', and the warped baggage that comes with it, is now in it's death throes.
It will be consigned to the trash bin of history as a failed indulgence into nonsense.
It's rapidly becoming 'old', and there is nothing new or enlightening about it...Quite the opposite.
And this matters. Peoples view are changing...
Empiricism, critical thinking, logic, and yes, commonsense - are coming back into the ascendancy!!!
As a new platform moving forwards, steemit and postmodernism have no place together. As simple as that.
When this political and philosophical standpoint is seen to be prevalent from the outside world - it will then make steemit an extremely unattractive place to be.
I'm not naming names (for now). That's a new years thing.
When people are seen to be getting flagged for their opinions (always from these SJW's ), and when the non posmodernist see this toxicity on the platform - they will turn away.
Rapidly.
There can be no profit from a platform under the auspices of the postmodernist mindset - not in a world of clear thinking and logic.
And this will affect the potential of steem, steem price, and the future.
Platforms offering freedom of speech, will soon move forwards and grow.
This will outstrip the judgemental, authoritarian supporting, postmodernist logic.
It could kill steem as acrypto currency if this 'logic' is allowed to have a grip within steemit.
....I see it this with some big players exhibiting this kind authoritarian behavior...but what will come with this behaviour into the future...?
An island of steem isolation,stuck in time, while the rest of real world goes past it, and flourishes...
Make steemit great again!
Postmodernism is now an old fashioned, dying paradigm.
It belongs in the past.
Let's not let steemit die because it's unattractive - all due to SJW's judging other peoples work and then acting out the role of the old fashioned authoritarian master.
The steem price will not end well because of it.
Profitable business, is a free speech business.
The rest is just a corruption and tyranny.
The inevitable decay and death of these kind of ecsystems, will surely follow.
Lets not allow steemit to be one of these shriveling ecosystems because of failed, desperate ideologues trying to sell their snake oil.
People are not buying into it anymore...
Let's not let 'them' drag us down to 5 cent steem...
