Un día en el hospital, pero sin dejar la diversión (Esp/Eng)

Bienvenidos un día más a ser parte de mi vida, en esta ocasión les menciono que pase unos días tormentosos y como padres todos sabemos lo que eso significa, cuando nuestros hijos se enferman, resulta que mi hija valerie de 3 años comenzó a presentar fiebre, mientras le daba acetaminofén para que esta bajara y así era, pero cada 4 horas volvía aparecer a fiebre, realmente trate de mantener la calma pero fue casi imposible ya que me levanto a las 11:30pm a darle nuevamente medicamento pues podía notar como la fiebre subía ya que la niña se desesperaba por buscar algo para arroparse y además como su piel se erizaba.

Por supuesto me levante y comencé a colocar sobre su cabeza paños húmedos con agua tibia y mientras frotaba todo su cuerpo con otro paño para que la fiebre bajara, pero al pasar 1 hora me percato, de que la fiebre no bajaba, así que decidí meterla en una bañera con agua tibia pero no obtuve muchos resultados ya que la fiebre no bajo lo necesario, y para resumirles la historia se me hicieron las 5:30 am y la fiebre no bajo; para ese momento el desespero se apodero de mí, así que decidí llevarla a la emergencia del hospital.

Of course I got up and started to put wet clothes with warm water on her head and while I rubbed her whole body with another cloth to lower the fever, but after 1 hour I noticed that the fever did not go down, so I decided to put her in a bathtub with warm water but I did not get many results because the fever did not go down as needed, and to tell you the story it was 5:30 am and the fever did not go down; by that time the despair took over me, so I decided to take her to the emergency room of the hospital.

Le recetaron acetaminofén en supositorios para lograr que la fiebre bajara y poder realizarle los exámenes necesarios, la verdad que apenas la fiebre le baja, su carita cabio por completo y pues ya me sentía un poco mas tranquila, pero a la misma vez preocupada pues ahorita en la ciudad donde vivo, hay un repunte de dengue y una enfermedad ocasionada por la infección de la garrapata, así que los doctores no descartaban esos diagnósticos por el momento.

Mientras volvíamos del laboratorio hacia el hospital, pasamos por un pequeño parque que pensé que ya no funcionaba, y es que ese existe desde que yo era una niña de la edad de mi hija; valerie al verlo nos pidió ir, así que supuse que eso la ayudaría en su mejoría y que seria lo mejor para que pudiera correr y despejar su mente, yo sinceramente quería verla recuperada rápido para llevármela a casa, pero pues debíamos esperar los resultados.

While we were returning from the lab to the hospital, we passed by a small park that I thought was no longer working, and that has existed since I was a child of my daughter's age; Valerie asked us to go there, so I assumed that it would help her to get better and that it would be the best thing for her to run and clear her mind, I sincerely wanted to see her recovered quickly to take her home, but we had to wait for the results.

Recordé también que ese lugar era muy famoso por sus desayunos que son muy deliciosos y con buenas porciones, y pedimos un tequeño, y la verdad me sorprendió su tamaño pues era el doble del tamaño de un tequeño normal, además a mi niña se le antojo y me alegre ya que hasta el apetito lo había perdido; y mientras comíamos, ella disfrutaba de casa juego que había allí, el lugar muy bien conservado, por supuesto le han hecho muchas mejoras pero sin duda alguna vale la pena llevar a los niños a ese lugar.

Y por supuesto que sucedió lo que yo esperaba, el semblante le cambio totalmente a mi niña, me sentí muy aliviada; regresamos por los resultados de los análisis, se pudo descartar completamente los dos primeros diagnósticos; solo era algo viral, tenía un poco de moco en sus pulmones, y le enviaron unos cuantos medicamentos, además que ella había subido de peso y la dosis que le estaba dando no era la correcta y era esa la razón de porque la fiebre no bajaba. así que pudimos regresar a casa.

Eso fue hace unos días atrás, ya mi nena se encuentra en perfecto estado, muchas gracias por su tiempo, nos vemos pronto.

I also remembered that this place was very famous for its breakfasts that are very delicious and with good portions, and we ordered a tequeño, and the truth surprised me because it was twice the size of a normal tequeño, plus my little girl craved it and I was happy because she had lost her appetite; and while we ate, she enjoyed the house game that was there, the place was very well preserved, of course they have made many improvements but certainly worth taking the children to that place.

And of course what I expected happened, my child's countenance changed completely, I felt very relieved; we went back for the results of the tests, the first two diagnoses were completely discarded; it was just something viral, she had some mucus in her lungs, and they sent her a few medicines, besides she had gained weight and the dose I was giving her was not the right one and that was the reason why the fever did not go down, so we were able to go back home.
