A few days ago, I had a very significant experience with my university colleagues that I hadn't had the chance to share here yet. As second-stage Computer Engineering students at the UPT in Puerto Cabello, we have been fully immersed in our community service, a project that is allowing us to apply everything we've learned in a real-world environment.
We are working directly with the Vencol Customs Agency, developing a web platform tailored to their needs. The project has a very interesting social and academic focus: as a form of payment or recognition for our technical work, the company will donate a printer or a laptop. This contribution is fundamental, as it not only helps us individually but also leaves a positive impact on our university's technological resources.
The visit we made to the company was key to understanding the magnitude of the project. Getting to know the facilities and the staff of the agency allowed us to visualize how the system we are building will facilitate their daily operations. It is a great feeling to know that our effort as students translates into professional solutions that benefit both the local productive sector and our own academic training.
I wanted to rescue these photos and the memory of that day because it represents a step forward in our path as future engineers. I am very motivated to finish this website and see the final result of this collaboration.
Hace unos días viví una experiencia muy significativa junto a mis compañeros de la universidad que no había tenido oportunidad de compartir por aquí. Como estudiantes del segundo trayecto de Ingeniería en Informática en el Tecnológico de Puerto Cabello, hemos estado plenamente sumergidos en nuestro servicio comunitario, un proyecto que nos está permitiendo aplicar todo lo aprendido en un entorno real.
Estamos trabajando directamente con la Agencia Aduanal Vencol C.A., desarrollando una plataforma web a la medida de sus necesidades. El proyecto tiene un enfoque social y académico muy interesante: como forma de pago o reconocimiento por nuestra labor técnica, la empresa donará una impresora o una laptop. Este aporte es fundamental, ya que no solo nos ayuda a nosotros individualmente, sino que deja un impacto positivo en los recursos tecnológicos de nuestra universidad.
La visita que realizamos a la empresa fue clave para entender la magnitud del proyecto. Conocer las instalaciones y al personal de la aduana nos permitió visualizar cómo el sistema que estamos construyendo facilitará sus operaciones diarias. Es una gran satisfacción saber que nuestro esfuerzo como estudiantes se traduce en soluciones profesionales que benefician tanto al sector productivo local como a nuestra propia formación.
Quería rescatar estas fotos y el recuerdo de aquel día porque representa un paso más en nuestro camino como futuros ingenieros. Me siento muy motivado por terminar esta página y ver el resultado final de esta colaboración.
