controversial jottings
the black mascara dried,
permanently leaving your face distorted,
corrupted, seductive, unwanted.
weeks come in pairs of two,
and four it took to kill a fire,
which, when first ignited itself,
was but a mere ember.
this ignition,
and the inevitable demise that followed,
were both pivotal points
which summoned poetic thoughts -
controversial jottings -
for the first time.
