You Don't Have To Write A Poem
you don't have to write a poem
to be seen as, to be known
as a poet; nonetheless,
you do have to try confess
every drop of inner strength
that's inside, to any length
you must go to share poetic
thoughts you have; observe; aesthetic.
sleep, observe, express and write;
do provide a pleasant sight
filled with words you chose so well;
do not fear to say, to tell
every person you encounter
that your words may be a downer;
nonetheless, let your mind roam;
you don't have to write a poem.
