(Phelsuma madagascariensis)
Bei einem erneuten Versuch meine Bilder und Fotos zu ordnen und sogar mal richtig zu beschriften, bin ich auf ganz alte Aufnahmen vom meinen Fotografieanfängen gestossen. Dabei handelt es sich um Aufnahmen aus dem Reptielienhaus vom zoologischen Garten in Zürich (CH). Auf den Bildern sind der Madagaskar-Taggecko, die Texas-Klapperschlange und die Spitzkopfnatter zu sehen.
During another attempt to organise my pictures and photos and even to label them correctly, I came across some very old photos from my early days of photography. These are photos from the reptile house of the zoological garden in Zurich (CH). The pictures show the Madagascar day gecko, the Texas rattlesnake and the pointed-headed snake.
Cuando intenté de nuevo organizar mis imágenes y fotos e incluso etiquetarlas correctamente, me encontré con algunas fotos muy antiguas de mis primeros tiempos de fotógrafo. Estas son fotos de la casa de reptiles del jardín zoológico de Zúrich (CH). Las imágenes muestran el gecko diurno de Madagascar, la serpiente de cascabel de Texas y la serpiente de cabeza puntiaguda.

Ich mag den Zürcher Zoo und finde das er seine Sache sehr gut macht und immer mehr Themen-/ und Tier-bezogene Lebensräume (Lewa Savanne, Pantanal, Bergnebelwald) kreiert und baut. Obwohl es dann schon witzig ist, wenn es im Winter in der afrikanischen Savanne plötzlich Minusgrade hat. Dann können die Hitze gewohnten Tiere in beheizten Häuser und Hallen bestaunt werden. Und ich verstehe auch die Einwände gegen Zoos, dass es schlecht ist Tiere, teils auch bedrohte, aus ihren angestammten Lebensräumen zu reissen und im andere Länder zu verschiffen. Aber ich finde es gut wenn ein Kind einen Elefanten in seiner wahren Grösse entddecken kann, und nicht seine Phantasie den kleinen Bildern aus Büchern und Dokumentationen zu fügen muss und plötzlich rosa Elefanten in der Antarktis sieht.
I like Zurich Zoo and think it is doing a very good job of creating and building more and more themed and animal-related habitats (Lewa savannah, Pantanal, mountain cloud forest). Although it's funny when it's suddenly sub-zero in the African savannah in winter. Then the animals that are used to the heat can be marvelled at in heated houses and halls. And I also understand the objections against zoos, that it is bad to tear animals, some of them endangered, from their ancestral habitats and ship them to other countries. But I think it's good when a child can discover an elephant in its true size, and doesn't have to add its imagination to the small pictures from books and documentaries and suddenly see pink elephants in Antarctica.
Me gusta el zoo de Zúrich y creo que está haciendo un muy buen trabajo creando y construyendo cada vez más hábitats temáticos y relacionados con los animales (sabana de Lewa, Pantanal, bosque nuboso de montaña). Aunque es curioso cuando de repente hace bajo cero en la sabana africana en invierno. Entonces, los animales acostumbrados al calor pueden maravillarse en casas y salones con calefacción. Y también entiendo las objeciones contra los zoológicos, que es malo arrancar animales, algunos de ellos en peligro de extinción, de sus hábitats ancestrales y enviarlos a otros países. Pero creo que es bueno que un niño pueda descubrir un elefante en su verdadero tamaño, y no tenga que añadir su imaginación a las pequeñas imágenes de los libros y documentales y ver de repente elefantes rosas en la Antártida.
