A life can be a simple span of time or the duration of an adventurous journey. Like the games we love to play, there is plenty of luck involved along with some risk, strategy, and skill. We don’t start out on equal footing and we don’t all get the same cards to play. At some points we’re striving to control certain aspect of our path. At others we’re recognizing the illusion that is control and simply doing the best we can with what we find around us.
The purposes we invent, the joys we enjoy, and the relationships along the way create our individual stories and shape the foundation for the stories coming after us. I’m encouraged to create a world we all want to live in, a place of peace, voluntary solutions, and abundance. The path from here to there isn’t clear. The time we have to play this game is finite. Just as every moment matters, every moment spent with the intention of letting go of intentions also matter, but in less obvious ways.
Here’s to celebrating the moments of silence where peace and quiet and lack of ambitions recharge us to act, move, and create.
