A few days ago I had one of those soul-filling experiences that remind you why it’s so important to create safe spaces among women. I was invited to an event organized by the community of FemPower Medellín, and although I went with zero expectations (beyond having a good time and enjoying the food), I left with my heart full and my mind buzzing with new ideas. The event focused on three pillars: entrepreneurship, personal growth, and sisterhood. But it wasn’t one of those rigid gatherings with endless speeches — it was more like a fancy, very girly brunch that made me fall in love with the moment even more.

From the moment I arrived, I felt that powerful vibe of “you’re safe here.” A place created by and for women, where we all felt secure enough to talk, laugh, cry, or simply observe. The most beautiful part was how many women opened up to share their personal stories — some with tears, others with nervous laughter, but all coming from a place of truth. Because when you realize no one is judging you, that you're surrounded by women who just want to see you bloom, magical things happen.

Some of the girls even brought their pets 😍😍 there was a beautiful she-wolf with a pink star on her forehead. Nothing says “safe space” better than a dog napping next to your chair while you listen to a woman entrepreneur share how she got back on her feet after hitting rock bottom. It was feminine energy at its finest.

The brunch was self-service and absolutely delicious. Dishes for every taste — fruits, pastries, vegan options, and some guilty pleasures. After brunch, some of us stayed a while longer, chatting over drinks. And that’s when I realized these kinds of meetups aren’t just networking events. They’re so much more. They’re spaces where sisterhood is built, where it doesn’t matter if you have a thousand followers or are just starting out — we all bring something to the table through our stories. I left with deep conversations, plenty of laughter, and that rare feeling of being exactly where I needed to be.

The organizing team, FemPower Medellín, did an amazing job. You could feel the care in every detail — from the curated activities to the ambient music, everything was thoughtfully arranged to make us feel comfortable and inspired. It was all a beautiful reminder that together, we can create spaces to grow, heal, and launch ourselves into the world with more strength.

These kinds of gatherings feel more and more essential. Because often in day-to-day life — especially if you're an entrepreneur or exploring less conventional paths — you can feel alone. Surrounded by noise or disconnected from your essence. And then something like this happens: you have coffee with a stranger who gives you the best advice of the month or hear a story that hits you right in the chest. And you realize you’re not alone, that there are many of us, and if we support each other, we all grow stronger.

So thank you, FemPower. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space, for allowing us to be ourselves without masks, and for reminding us that there is another way to grow — one that’s based not on competition, but on support 💜

Hace unos días viví una de esas experiencias que te llenan el alma y te recuerdan por qué es tan importante crear espacios seguros entre mujeres. Me invitaron a un encuentro organizado por la comunidad de FemPower Medellín, y si bien iba con cero expectativas (más allá de pasarla bien y comer rico), salí con el corazón inflado y la cabeza llena de nuevas ideas. El evento se centraba en tres ejes: emprendimiento, crecimiento personal y sororidad. Pero no era uno de esos encuentros rígidos con discursos eternos, fue más bien un brunch fancy y muy girly que hizo que me enamorara aún más del momento.

Desde que llegué sentí esa vibra poderosa de “aquí estás a salvo”. Un lugar creado por y para mujeres, donde todas teníamos la seguridad de hablar, reír, llorar o simplemente observar. Lo más bonito fue que muchas se animaron a contar sus historias personales, algunas con lágrimas y otras con risas nerviosas, pero todas desde nuestra verdad. Porque cuando te das cuenta de que nadie te va a juzgar, que estás rodeada de mujeres que solo quieren verte florecer, pasan cosas mágicas.

Hasta algunas de las chicas llevaron a sus mascotas 😍😍 había una lobita hermosa que tenía una estrellita rosada en la frente. Nada dice mejor “espacio seguro” que una perrita durmiendo al lado de tu silla mientras escuchas a una emprendedora contar cómo sacó adelante su negocio después de tocar fondo. Era energía femenina en su punto más alto.

El brunch fue self service y estaba delicioso. Platos para todos los gustos, desde frutas, pastelería, hasta opciones veganas y alguno que otro antojito. Después del brunch, algunas nos quedamos conversando con un par de tragos en mano. Y ahí fue cuando entendí que ese tipo de encuentros no son solo eventos de networking. Son mucho más. Son espacios donde se construye familia, donde no importa si tienes mil seguidores o vas empezando tu camino, todas sumamos desde nuestras historias. Me llevé conversaciones profundas, muchas risas y esa sensación tan escasa de estar justo donde tenías que estar.

El equipo organizador, FemPower Medellín, hizo un trabajo hermoso. Se notaba la intención en cada detalle, desde la curaduría de las actividades hasta la música ambiente, todo estaba pensado para que nos sintiéramos cómodas e inspiradas. Todo fue un recordatorio de que juntas podemos construir espacios donde crecer, sanar y lanzarnos al mundo con más fuerza.

Este tipo de encuentros me parecen cada vez más necesarios. Porque muchas veces en el día a día, sobre todo si estás emprendiendo o explorando caminos menos convencionales, te puedes sentir sola. Rodeada de ruido o desconectada de tu esencia. Y luego pasa esto: te tomas un café con una desconocida que termina dándote el mejor consejo del mes o escuchas una historia que te hace click en el pecho. Y entiendes que no estás sola, que somos muchas, y que si nos apoyamos, nos potenciamos.

Así que gracias, FemPower. Gracias por crear un espacio tan bonito, por permitirnos ser nosotras sin máscaras, y por recordarnos que hay otra forma de crecer, una que no se basa en la competencia sino en el acompañamiento 💜
