Let's be honest here, bitcoin sucks right now, and that’s due to high transactions fees and long waiting time for confirmations, and coins need to be able to grown.
A lot of alts coins have gained terrain in the coin market by exploiting bitcoins weaknesses, making them more attractive for users that just want to use their money to buy everyday things, and don’t want to spend 200 dollars in transactions fees to buy a 50 dollar item.
This all going to change and very soon, as we come closer to the true dream of bitcoin. Lighting Network is promising of near instants transactions from person to person and with lower fees, but how all of this works?
With Lighting Networks the transactions are not broadcast to all the blockchain, but in a communication between two peers using encrypted channels known as lighting nodes, meaning the transactions don't relay in trust of the blockchain but digital sign messages send throughout and encrypted communication channel.
When Lighting Networks hits, it will be game changer, as almost all of the negative aspects of bitcoin will be wipe out clean and maybe we will see a raise in bitcoin prices again, but who knows, this is something that has yet to happen, but i leave you with this, imagine receiving bitcoin as you do with your every day email.
Until next time Steemians, and thank you for reading me thus far.
