Ubud is identical with terrace rice fields, greenery and tropical landscapes. And that's what I love about that region in Bali. Since the pandemic, it's harder to travel outside the island. So, I've been craving Bali vibes. Then, today since my mom is also on her day off, we found a place that advertised its cafe with " Bali vibes". I was curious since there are some places advertising their cafe like that but it doesn't turn out as it marketed. This cafe, Sunny Cafe was a bit of an exception.
This place is a physical expression from "Sunday Funday". The wall is decorated with colorful pastel paint and also murals. The place has plenty sockets which is perfect if you want to work from this cafe.
There are two area in this place. The main area has a mini looking alike shack where you can order the meal and the drinks. This is different from coffee shops so, their coffee isn't the highlight here. Instead, mojitos, smoothies, and mocktail are something that is recommended in this place.
The only thing missing from this place is a beach or mountain or an actual rice field nearby. I mean, I would have never expected that there would be this kind of place where I live. It's a small town and there's not much going on around here either. So, finding this place was quite a surprise.
The pictures above were the first area after the entrance. And below is the counter where you can order the menu.
My mom and I first tried to sit in the main area. But we saw a gate that lead us to the second area of this cafe. This area is the hidden highlight of this place and very instagrammable.
In this place, my mom ordered lychee mojito and I ordered a latte. The drinks were so refreshing and made us feel like we were actually sipping it in Bali.
From my cafes that my mom and I visited, she was more satisfied with this cafe because its aesthetic, taste, and price that was more reasonable than many places we've been to.
As for the food, we ordered smoothies bowl. That smoothie bowl above is called matchanana. It has matcha, banana, strawberry, granola, garnished with mint leaves. That was my mom first time. She said smoothie bowl is so filling, refreshing, and yummy.
I also ordered the same thing. I think it was yummy as well since I actually never had matcha bowl. I wonder if I would add kratom to the mixture, I bet it would be so good and actually has some effects.
Oh yeah, there's another open area too. It looks like the place would be good for a mini picnic. Another thing I love about this place is the plantations. It's very refreshing to see this kind of greenery. So, our visit today was quite fun. Hence the title, SundayFunday.
I also took pictures that will be my next minimalist wallpaper. Such as this one below:
Overall, we both really enjoyed our visit. So, I also include this place into pinmapple. Everything about this place was great, from the view, the cocktail, to the service.
