In France there are four types of climate: the continental climate, the ocean climate, the Mediterranean climate and the climate of the Alps

While the cities of the French Riviera on the Mediterranean coast enjoy a warm summer and mild winters and the last areas of the Alps near the snow in winter and enjoy the mountain climate
So i think that the right times to travel to France vary according to the area to be visited
The best time to visit France in general is between April and September, when temperatures are milder
