Hi Steemies!
Day 3. I'm not ashamed to admit that I am not the most tech saavy, and its taken me a few to learn how to navigate Steemit. So you can imagine how proud I am of this post! I even figured out how to add my name to the GIFs. (But only half way through the process, as you can see. They're all my videos, though, promise!) The only thing missing is the 90s hip hop music in the original videos. (GIFs dont have sound, right?)
So, here is my process, from start to finish. These are from when I was still living in Brooklyn and just starting out. What I don't show is how hard it is to lug 55lbs of cement and supplies into an apartment and still have space to create.
First up, we have the basic supplies to get started in cement art:
Next, measure out the dry cement, add colorant and water:
Mix well - no lumps!
Now, the fun part - Marbling and Pouring:
Be patient while your pots cure!
Finish with spray painted accents or anything you find visually appealing. Sorry, too dangerous to video myself in action on a 7th floor fire escape :)
Get planting!
OK, that was kind of long - next on my list of things to learn is sizing down my photos LOL. If you enjoyed the quick peek into my process and want to see an instructional post on each step, let me know!
Happy Potting!
Christie
