This isolated spot at the far end of the beach seems to be miles away from any civilization.
Bigger aint better
In fact, Vongdeuan Beach, on the Thai island of Koh Samet, is one of the busier beaches. Some of the largest resorts (not too mention the most luxurious and expensive resorts) are located along this kilometer-long stretch of sand. Also, some of the biggest and most popular restaurants on the island can be found here.
More aint good

Calmer is finer
For over a week, I stayed at quieter beach a short walk away. Several times, however, I hiked over to Vongdeuan Beach, just for a change of scenery.
The finest scenery I found was at this small headland at the southern end of the beach. There, I could be at peace, surrounded by greenery, flowery bushes, sand, and gentle waves lightly brushing the shore.
