Good Evening my Fellow Steemians
Today I bring you another update for the Surthrival Trailer. Today I completed painting the frame for the rooftop solar panels and received a roof rack system that I will be mounting the solar panels onto.
I painted the frame for the rooftop solar panels using 2 cans of Rustoleum Flat Black primer.
I got a suggestion to consider using a ladder rack to hold the panels for the roof of the trailer. After a bit of searching I found the Fitz-All adjustable roof rack made by RackEm Mfg. LLC which make the widest rack I could find that was designed to be used on enclosed trailers. It totaled $209.00 with shipping.
Ebay gave me an ETA of Monday October 15th, but it arrived today!
Here is the total kit unboxed.
Here are the pieces that are used to fasten to the sides of the trailer.
Here are the components that will mount to the side of the trailer. There is an aluminum square channel pieces which are adjustable and will span the width of the trailer. They will be mounted with stainless steel self tapping mounting hardware that is included in the kit.
I also picked up some new materials to hold greenhouse ribs inside the trailer, some pvc conduit clamps, and some heavy duty eyehooks for creating a hammock mount inside the trailer which totaled $31.60
Thank you for your time if you gave this a read!
Yours in liberty toward a brighter future, may the great creator bring peace and joy within your hearts, Greg
