Hey, Hivers! What's up? makiyumee here and I am back with a new blog. Are you looking for a new café to explore and try? Well for this blog, I am going to share to you this newly opened café that my best friend and I found out and tried. Here we go!
My best friend and I just finished making our project that day. We were just chilling in their living room when I suddenly felt hungry. I told her I was craving for some tempura and kwek-kwek but then she shared that she found this new café on Facebook, and they were having a soft opening that very same day. She showed me the post about that café and then I asked her if she wanted to visit that place. She nodded at me and later, we found ourselves riding a tricycle to visit the new café.
The tricycle stopped and we arrived in front of Lapyahan. We paid for the fare and after that, I turned around in surprise when I saw how Lapyahan of San Remigio had changed since the last time I visited the place, it was different—everything that time was different.
We took a detour and looked around Lapyahan, admiring its peaceful beauty but when I felt my stomach remind me of my hunger, I told my friend that we'll just come back later after we visited the café.
The walk towards the new café from Lapyahan wasn't long since the café was just in front of San Remigio Cultural Center and Leisure. When we arrived at the café, I saw the sign and learned that the new café was called Milk+T Café.
We were greeted by a familiar gentleman who works as a waiter and then after a moment, my best friend realized that the gentleman who ushered us to the café was actually her classmate back when she was still in senior high. I came to realize that moment that the world is indeed very small.
The staffs of Milk+T Café were very accommodating, and they all welcomed me and my best friend with bright warm smiles. They even shared to us their best sellers and I was surprised to learn that their drinks and foods were all affordable. Since the place was also near San Remigio National High School, students would be very pleased and glad if they found out about this café since their products were all budget-friendly and also in high quality.
When we got out order, a waiter told us they would take a picture of us for availing their product and so we posed for the camera before bidding our goodbyes to the crew of the café.
We found ourselves walking back to Lapyahan with huge smiles as we sipped on the drinks that we bought. To my surprise, the flavor of the milk teas that we bought was not too sweet and not too bland—it was just the right amount of sweetness and flavor.
My best friend and I enjoyed our drinks as we sat on the sands of Lapyahan and chilled ourselves after a long day of making our project.
We even talked about some things from the past that made us laugh and reminisce about the times when we were still studying in San Remigio National High School. My best friend and I were classmates since Grade 8 and until now, in college, we were still classmates, and this was something I was very thankful for.
We even talked about out some students from San Remigio National High School that we saw in the beach that day. Some were with their friends, playing by the shore and some were even just sitting on the sand, like us, watching the sunset along with their partners or friends. It was a sight to see, and my best friend and I couldn't help but tease them.
"These kids should live their life to the fullest now that they are still in high school because when they enter college, everything is going to change and there will be no more time for this kind of pure happiness," I told my best friend that time and she agreed with me.
It was indeed true. College was very different from high school. You can't spend time to have fun with your friends because those times will be spent on your school tasks and homework—even your holidays will be spent on school tasks which is something I was sometimes annoyed about.
When the sun had set, we decided to take a stroll and walked beside the shore. We felt the breeze slowly getting cooler as the sky began to turn dark. Though the sun had set but its rays still shined through the clouds. The sand was starting to enter my slippers, but I didn't mind, it was actually a very pleasant feeling. The scent of the sea also made me feel comforted and relaxed. I don’t know why but the sight and scent of the sea always makes me calm down.
After finishing our drinks, my best friend and I decided that it was finally time to go home. So, we walked towards the main streets where we would wait for tricycles. As we walked, we talked about how we used to do these things back when we were still in high school. I would tease my best friend how she would wait for a tricycle with me so that she could see her high school crush on the other side of the road waiting for a tricycle just like us.
After a few minutes of waiting, our ride finally came and I bid my farewell to my best friend in which she also returned with a grateful smile. On my way home, I couldn't help but feel satisfied. I was so full after finishing our drink that we bought from Milk+T Café and we also managed to finish out project. I commended myself for being so productive that day and I was also glad that I did all of that with my best friend.
Thanks for reading my blog, everyone! That would be all for today and I hope to see you all on the next one.
