Hoy vi muy de cerca la muerte
y no es como seguro tu te lo imaginas
algo con cara de cadáver y mirada ida
pero juro que se podía sentir
su aura fría...
Hoy conoci la muerte...
tenia cara de espanto y ojos asustados
su cuerpo era tieso y paralizado
y no venía a llevarme
pero si a recordarme
¡Porque estamos en esta vida!
Hoy conoci la muerte...
la vi muy de cerca en la cara de espalto
de quien se le incendiaba su carro
no me preguntes por que todos miraban y nadie ayudaba
pero allí estaba ese pobre hombre
pidiendo clemencía a gritos
Hoy conoci la muerte
cuando ví la miseria humana
en un instante del día
lleno de egoísmo y de envidia
sentimientos que no se ven
pero siempre te respiran
Hoy conoci la muerte
cuando supe que alguien querido
ya no podia estar más comiendo en su mesa
sino en la de un cielo desconocido
y distante de su esposa
Que se quedó aqui en la tierra
esperando su momento oportuno
Hoy conoci la muerte
no se si me dio alegría verla
pero al final...
la vida y la muerte comen del mismo plato
Y no tienen egoismo al darse la mano...
