Cuando se trata de chocolate, yo no pongo peros al momento de probar, y mucho menos, si me lo regalan. Y así justamente pasó este encuentro, pues mi supervisor me preguntó si había probado las frambuesas con chocolate, y como le dije que no, me regaló un envase casi completo.
Hace tiempo vi que esta nueva presentación se ha puesto muy de moda, combinando frutas y chocolates en una versión fría, ya que desde hace mucho, en las fiestas se estilan las fuentes de chocolate en las que se pueden sumergir frutas trozadas, marshmallows o cualquier canapé dispuesto en la mesa para ello, pero estos van en modo caliente.
De hecho, la primera vez que vi este producto, fue con una noticia lamentable, en la que unos chicos recibieron un delivery con un envase de fresas con chocolate, sin haberlo pedido, pero adolescentes al fin, aprovecharon la ocasión y lo comieron entre todos, con el lamentable fallecimiento de una de las chicas y una intoxicación severa en el resto del grupo. La noticia era que quien lo envió fue la amante del padre de la chica fallecida, como venganza por haber terminado la relación.
Pero más allá de eso, y de la coincidencia del producto, yo nunca imaginé que mi jefe quisiera asesinarme, por lo que los comí con confianza, brindándole a mis hijos, aunque solo el mayor fue quien quiso probarlos.
En cuanto al producto en si, la combinación ácida de las frambuesas con el chocolate, es interesante al paladar, pues aunque no le quita protagonismo a la fruta, son dos sabores que se manejan muy bien juntos, pudiendo sentirse cada uno por separado en algún momento.
Una de las cosas que me encantó es que pueden consumirse solos como un postre, pero también pueden agregarse como decoración en algún pastel, por lo que no necesariamente tienen una manera de degustarse, así como tampoco el hecho de estar congelados o a temperatura ambiente, ya que el chocolate no se derrite tan fácilmente.
Definitivamente es un producto que se deja desear, pues cuando terminas el envase, quedas con ganas de repetir la experiencia en otro momento, más allá del precio que no es económico, pero que puede ser ese placer culposo de una vez por mes, o tenerlo para consumirlo dosificado.

In fact, the first time I saw this product was in connection with a tragic news story, in which some teenagers received a delivery of a box of chocolate-covered strawberries without having ordered it; but being teenagers, they seized the opportunity and shared it among themselves, resulting in the tragic death of one of the girls and severe food poisoning for the rest of the group. The story was that the person who sent it was the mistress of the deceased girl’s father, as revenge for ending the relationship.
But beyond that, and the coincidence of the product, I never imagined my boss would want to murder me, so I ate them with confidence, offering them to my children, although only the eldest wanted to try them.
As for the product itself, the tart combination of raspberries and chocolate is intriguing on the palate; although it doesn’t overshadow the fruit, the two flavours complement each other beautifully, whilst each can still be tasted distinctly at times.
One of the things I loved is that they can be eaten on their own as a dessert, but they can also be used as a decoration on a cake, so there isn’t necessarily a set way to enjoy them, nor does it matter whether they’re frozen or at room temperature, as the chocolate doesn’t melt that easily.
It’s definitely a product that leaves you wanting more, because once you’ve finished the packet, you’re left wanting to repeat the experience another time. Despite the price—which isn’t cheap—it could be that once-a-month guilty pleasure, or you could keep it to enjoy in small doses.
