I feel a bit bad that I haven't posted much lately. Also, I haven't really engaged much here on Hive and I don't really know what's going on, I apologize for that. Life is just a bit too hectic at the moment. I have been back one month now here in Stockholm and I'm still working on my relationship with this city. I don't know if it's good or bad but since I'm so busy I don't have much time to think about that I don't really like this place. It starts to feel a bit better now though, I'm adjusting to my new environment and I'm still working a lot on acceptance.
The power of celebrations
I want to make this post about celebrations though. Celebrations are something we practice a lot in the coaching modalities and that's how we are trained to open each and every coaching session, to ask the client to share three celebrations. Since I also have received a lot of coaching since the beginning of last summer, by now I'm pretty used to celebrate myself and my life. Throughout the year in this program, we have been trained in this habit, kind of every time we are interacting. In the beginning, it wasn't so easy but by now it's like second nature to me.
Itβs important to celebrate, not only big wins and successes but also small wins, in your everyday life. Things that are going well for you. It's similar to gratefulness but more focused on actual events or things that have happened.
When you celebrate, you pause and you are being mindful, that boosts your well-being. And the more you get into this habit and celebrate your wins and your successes the more likely you are to continue with this habit. And the more you celebrate the more likely you are to be motivated to keep working towards your goals.
I believe the habit of celebrating for sure has helped me to keep going with this program. It's been such hard work from time to time and now I'm really doing my best to keep up with everything, working at the same time.
I'll share with you my three celebrations for today, also to give an example of how it can be done. And I invite you to try this and see what it does for you π It's a simple habit but yet powerful.
My three celebrations for today
I celebrate that even though I feel so busy now, working and at the same time trying my best to keep up with my coach training, I'm lucky that I found a job so fast. That was a big worry for me and it only took me two weeks to find a job that actually ticked most of the boxes I hoped for. I sure was prepared to accept something way 'worse'. When I think of it, this job is actually almost everything I imagined and hoped for (for now this is, this is not a long-term solution for me).
I celebrate that I have started with what we call 'outside' clients in the program. Coaching people who are not in the program that is. Since I'm still in training I'm not charging but offering each client three sessions. This week I sent one of them an email offering her seven more sessions (10 in total) and laid out what we could dive deeper into based on what has surfaced in the sessions so far. It turned out my intuition was right on point and she said yes! She wrote back that the sessions had been eye-opening for her and had already helped improve her relationship with her boyfriend. I was tearing up with happiness reading this. This is why I want to do this work, these tools are so powerful. I LOVE it β€οΈ
I celebrate that it's a nice feeling to have a home again, with my stuff. After four years without that, I do enjoy the relaxation that comes with that. I realize I have changed a lot in these four years though (well that I already knew) and would like to decorate my place in a different way. I don't really have a budget for that but I have already accomplished a positive change by small means. I'll continue with that and I'm telling myself that even if I'm only back here temporarily it's still important to be surrounded by things that resonate with you.
Thanks for reading π
Love and blessings to you all π
