Lo primero que dibujo como boceto primordial es el campo donde va a jugar Walle, para ello escojo un color de fondo que haga contraste, el #36b36a que encuentro estupendo para esto y que yo mismo he buscado.

Comienzo a dibujar las líneas de las bases, para ello creo el #fff3d4 un color blanco que tira hacia el lado de los colores fríos, lo uso para imprimirle una armonía de frescura a la ilustración, tratando de recrear en el espectador esa sensación de que está comiendo chicle en un partido de baseball, esa frescura.

Está un poco descuadrado todo a la derecha, luego de dibujar a Walle lo centraré para que se vea correctamente.

The first thing I draw as a primary sketch is the field where Walle is going to play, for this I choose a contrasting background color, #36b36a, which I find great for this and which I myself have searched for.

I begin to draw the lines of the bases, for this I create #fff3d4, a white color that leans towards the cold colors, I use it to give a harmony of freshness to the illustration, trying to recreate in the viewer that feeling that He's eating gum at a baseball game, that freshness.

Everything on the right is a little out of square, after drawing Walle I will center it so that it can be seen correctly.

Dibujo el cuerpo de la ballena, diferenciándolo con el color #36b36a para su delineado, que es un verde oscuro tirando a negro ya usado anteriormente.

La cola me presenta un desafío, paso un rato arreglándola y haciéndole el trazo para darle profundidad que deseo que luego detallaré con iluminaciones y sombras.

Trazo la pelota, le agrego un color distintivo que es el #fff3d4 un amarillo claro tirando hacia el lado de los amarillos para darle calidez a la bola y hacer ver que está un poco desgastada de tanto uso como una pelota de baseball común que ha sido lanzada muchas veces.

Coloreo la tierra de las bases y defino mejor el mapa.

Aprovecho de centrar mejor el canvas para que Walle quede centrada y se vea armonioso todo.

Corrijo lo mejor que puedo las bases, y coloco la almohadilla central donde irá el catcher.

I draw the body of the whale, differentiating it with the color #36b36a for its outline, which is a dark green bordering on black already used previously.

The tail presents me with a challenge, I spend some time arranging it and tracing it to give it the depth I want, which I will then detail with highlights and shadows.

I trace the ball, I add a distinctive color that is #fff3d4, a light yellow, moving towards the yellow side to give warmth to the ball and show that it is a little worn from so much use like a common baseball that has been thrown many times.

I color the land of the bases and define the map better.

I take advantage of centering the canvas better so that Walle is centered and everything looks harmonious.

I correct the bases as best I can, and place the center pad where the catcher will go.

Trabajo el cuerpo de walle, agregando detalles como sombra, las aletas, los colores distintivos de las franjas, y defino detalles importantes en las luces y sombras de distintas partes.

Agrego sombra en la parte inferior de su cuerpo y sumo efecto de dithering en el centro del campo.

Ajusto otro efecto como de rociado sobre la pelota, ajustando la opacidad de la capa para simular el efecto de agua que sale por el respiradero de Walle en su parte superior, ¿queda cool verdad?.

I work on the walle's body, adding details such as shadows, the fins, the distinctive colors of the stripes, and I define important details in the lights and shadows of different parts.

I add shadow to the lower part of his body and add dithering effect in the center of the field.

I adjust another effect like a spray on the ball, adjusting the opacity of the layer to simulate the effect of water coming out of Walle's vent on its upper part, it looks cool right?

Hago muchos cambios y ajustes, empezando por el dithering sobre Walle en el área que está debajo de la pelota, simulando un efecto como de roció de agua y sombra al mismo tiempo, mediante este patrón.

Retoco varias veces la aleta de la cola, hasta quedar conforme con el efecto de iluminación y los colores seleccionados.

Trabajo en las franjas distintivas de la ballena, escogiendo un color claro que hace resaltar la tonalidad junto con el blanco verdoso.

Agrego algunos detalles de tierra en la parte inferior, junto con el logo de Hive account@holozing en una capa aparte, ajustandole la opacidad para que se distinga.

Y por último agrego mi marca de agua y firma de mi trabajo.

I retouch the tail fin several times, until I am satisfied with the lighting effect and the selected colors.

I work on the distinctive stripes of the whale, choosing a light color that highlights the tone along with the greenish white.

I add some dirt details at the bottom, along with the Hive account@holozing logo on a separate layer, adjusting the opacity to make it stand out.

And finally I add my watermark and signature of my work.

Fue muy bonito el resultado que obtuve y estoy contento con este fan art, porque trabajar con estos colores verdes es muy refrescante, me dio esa sensación a grama, a pasto, hasta llegue a sentirme que estaba en el estadio de baseball viendo el partido.

El contraste con el color marrón rojizo de la tierra hace un enorme juego y queda espectacular con estos colores verdes. A mi parecer luce muy bien.

El desafío en este arte estuvo en la aleta posterior, su sombreado e iluminación.

También me dio trabajo la parte de dibujar el cuadro de baseball y estuve pelando con ajustarlo un bien rato, aunque el mayor esfuerzo se lo llevo en esta ocasión la aleta posterior, que me costó bastante perfeccionar.
