In this report I cover the early market action from London on Friday, May 25th, 2018. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar and bonds. I note that gold price had a good day yesterday as it trade back above a key resistance at $1302.
I also go over an article by Tom Luongo on zerohedge where he notes that it's not just the new Petroyuan that is driving the world away from the dollar but also the LME exchange or the London Metal Exchange which has been under Chinese ownership since 2012. Mr Luongo notes that the the LME have just announced they will be listing yuan denominated base or industrial metals on their exchange.
I conclude my report by talking about a German TV series I watched on Netflix called "The Same Sky". This series is about 1970s divided Berlin and I point out a scene in which one of the main characters spies on his neighbour for pointing their TV antenna to the west and compare it to today's YouTube algorithms.
