Back at Pine Neck Sanctuary with a walk down to the salt-marsh and beach...
Walking through the pine/oak woods to get to the bay provides some shade relief from the hot sun...
At the bay I got more relief when clouds took the place of the trees to block the sun...
A few dead horseshoe crabs litter the beach..
Being a little known and therefore used nature preserve you find very little signs of human beings.. not even foot prints...
Skies getting brighter reveling blue's of the sky and bay...
On the horizon is a sandy strip of land separating the bay from the ocean... It is part of the barrier islands called Fire Island...There is a road running down it called Dune road with houses built that view the ocean...
Salt marsh between the land and bay provides a rich source of food for both sea, land & bird critters..
Time to head back through the woods to the Suburban jungle...
Back to the White Jeep & civilization where a mask is required...
