Painting Self-Portrait - Digital Drawing

Good morning people, I'm not a big fan of making self-portraits but yesterday I encouraged me to make one, I did it to see how it looked like and practice my technique a little, another reason why I made this self-portrait was to change my profile picture in hive that I already have time with it and I want to change for another, and also to use it in other social networks, here I want to show you how to make this portrait with their respective steps and I hope it is to your liking:

First of all I started to give color to my drawing, I tried to use colors that in my opinion would represent me as much as possible, first I painted the skin giving it a light colored base to start, then I added some shadows and lights to give a little volume to the face.

I was beating my eyes and adding some more volume details to the face, the next thing I did was to paint the hair, for this I used a little light black color to make a color base, and then I added some shadows and certain lights to the hair so that it would take a little volume, with the part of the beard I made certain details of very small hair so that it would look a little crowded and more realistic to the eye.

For the t-shirt I used a light black color, I didn't want to invent too much for the design of this t-shirt and that's why I used this tone, the truth is I have a very similar t-shirt and once I was trying colors I thought it was a good idea to paint it similar to that one and I did, the next thing was to add some details of wrinkles so the t-shirt would look a little better, For this, use a slightly lighter black color for the parts where the light or illumination reaches, and a slightly darker black color for the shadows, placing them in areas opposite to where the light is, in this way you will achieve the desired volume for the shirt.

With the background I wanted to try something different, for this I painted it orange as a base, and then I added details to give volume to that background, I made some diagonal lines with shades of orange as the background but a little darker and lighter, I did this to create details of divisions in that background and give the impression of being a sliding door like those found in shops.

Finally I added some additional shadows and highlights to complement this portrait, I put the lights on small high areas of the nose, cheekbones and hair, and the shadows I put on opposite parts where I thought these details were a little missing, such as the bottom of the nose, the T-shirt and the shadow of the body on the back wall.
