Just a few days ago, a large part of the planet welcomed summer, the hottest season of the year, and for many, the most awaited.

Summer, in many countries, is usually associated with the culmination of academic activities in anticipation of the beginning of a new cycle, with vacations, with rest, with the beach and with a large number of outdoor activities that at any other time of the year are impossible to carry out.

It is difficult not to remember the family trips in childhood, the adventures of adolescence, forgotten loves and wild parties until dawn, typical of this season. No wonder, just as autumn and winter represent old age in many cultures, summer symbolizes the awakening of life, puberty, ephemeral loves, and perhaps, the first intimate encounters, those that after some time we usually evoke in our memories.

In this new week of Three Tune Tuesday, I have searched for musical themes that have the word "summer" in their title, finally choosing a trio of themes belonging to three different decades, and in my opinion, quite varied to celebrate this summer that has just begun.

Now, without further ado, I invite you to relax and enjoy the musical selection that I share today on this platform.

Hace apenas unos días atrás, gran parte del planeta dió la bienvenida al verano, la estación más calurosa del año, y por muchos, la más esperada.

El verano, en muchos países, suele estar asociado con la culminación de las actividades académicas en espera del inicio de un nuevo ciclo, con las vacaciones, con el descanso, con la playa y con un gran número de actividades al aire libre que en cualquier otro momento del año es imposible llevar a cabo.

Resulta difícil no recordar los viajes familiares en la niñez, las aventuras de la adolescencia, los amores olvidados y las fiestas salvajes hasta el amanecer, propias de esta estación. No en balde, así como el otoño y el invierno representan en muchas culturas la vejez, el verano simboliza el despertar de la vida, la pubertad, los amores efímeros, y tal vez, los primeros encuentros íntimos, aquellos que transcurrido el tiempo solemos evocar en nuestros recuerdos.

En esta nueva semana del Three Tune Tuesday, he buscado temas musicales que tengan la palabra "verano" en su título, escogiendo finalmente un trío de temas pertenecientes a tres décadas diferentes, y en mi opinión, bastante variados para festejar este verano que recién inicia.

Summer Breeze - Seals & Crofts

Summer Breeze is a song originally written and recorded by the American soft rock duo, Seals and Crofts. It is the eponymous track from their fourth studio album and was released as the album's lead single in August 1972.

The song reached #6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, #4 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary, as well as charting on the Australian, Canadian and New Zealand record charts.

In 2013 the music magazine Rolling Stone included it at number 13 in its list of "The Greatest Summer Songs of All Time".

La canción alcanzó el puesto número 6 en la lista estadounidense Billboard Hot 100, la cuarta en la Billboard Adult Contemporary, además de figurar en las listas discográficas de Australia, Canadá y Nueva Zelanda.

The Boys of Summer is a song performed and recorded by American musician Don Henley, a founding member of the group Eagles.

It was released in 1984 as the first single from his second solo studio album, entitled Building the Perfect Beast. The song was written by Henley himself, while the music was composed by Mike Campbell, guitarist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

The song's title refers to the 1972 book The Boys of Summer by American writer Roger Kahn, which tells the story of the members of the 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers team, and how their lives changed over the course of the next two decades. According to Henley, the song is about growing old and questioning the past.

All Summer Long is a song performed by the American rock group Beach Boys. Composed by Brian Wilson and Mike Love, the song gave its name to the band's sixth studio album which was released in 1964, while it was released as a single in the UK in February 1965.

The song's lyrics narrate a series of happy events enjoyed by a boy and his girlfriend during the summer and is accompanied with the remark "every now and then we hear our song/we been having fun all summer long".

The eponymous album reached the fourth position in the United States where it remained on the chart for a total of 49 weeks.
