Nuestra Semana Santa diferente [ESP-ENG]

A Daniel y a mi siempre nos ha gustado celebrar toda ocasión y fecha especial, así que cada vez que tenemos la oportunidad hacemos algo para celebrar la ocasión que sea. Este año para Semana Santa no teníamos planes, o al menos nada de lo típico que solíamos hacer para esta fecha, sin embargo, no quisimos quedarnos sin hacer nada y nos inventamos un plan de último momento y aunque fue algo completamente diferente resultó bien.

Daniel and I have always loved celebrating every occasion and special date, so whenever we have the chance, we do something to celebrate whatever it is. This year for Easter, we didn't have any plans, or at least none of the typical things we usually do for this time of year. However, we didn't want to be left without doing anything, so we came up with a last-minute plan, and although it was something completely different, it turned out well.

A falta de playa, piscina y lugares turísticos nos quedó como opción el centro comercial, en este caso el Jockey Plaza que es nuestro favorito. Fuimos con intención de ir a dar un paseo y tomarnos algo, así que primero dimos un par de vueltas a ver si encontrabamos algo interesante. En el área central del centro comercial siempre colocan alguna atracción para los niños y esa vez estaba una especie de parque llamado Imaginopolis, el cual desde afuera se veía bastante bonito e interesante.

Lacking a beach, pool, or tourist attractions, our only option was the shopping mall, in this case, Jockey Plaza, which is our favorite. We went intending to take a stroll and grab a drink, so we first wandered around a bit to see if we could find anything interesting. In the central area of the mall, they always set up some kind of attraction for children, and this time there was a sort of park called Imaginopolis, which looked quite nice and interesting from the outside.

Entramos a algunas tiendas, yo estaba buscando algunos artículos de maquillaje que me hacían falta pero no conseguí nada que me gustara. En otra tienda vi unos peluches muy lindos que me encantaron pero solo les tomé foto.

We went into a few stores. I was looking for some makeup items I needed, but I didn't find anything I liked. In another store, I saw some really cute plush toys that I loved, but I just took a picture of them.

Caminando por uno de los pasillos nos encontramos con una cabina de fotos y no lo pensamos ni 2 veces para entrar allí. Nunca antes habíamos usado una de estas cabinas pero la verdad no fue nada difícil, solo tuvimos que hacer el pago primero, el cual fue de R$ 15 (unos 3$ aproximadamente) y en la pantalla elegir un diseño para nuestras fotos, eran unos 3 modelos diferentes y nosotros elegimos el de pascua por la ocasión, para así tener un recuerdo de esa época.

Walking down one of the corridors, we came across a photo booth and didn't hesitate for a second to go in. We had never used one of these booths before, but it was really easy. We just had to pay first, which was R$15 (about $3), and then choose a design for our photos on the screen. There were about three different designs, and we chose the Easter one because of the occasion, so we would have a memento of that time.

Luego de tomarnos las fotos salimos de la cabina para retirarlas en la parte de afuera, fue algo inmediato, por lo que no tuvimos que esperar nada. En total tomamos 3 fotos diferentes, las cuales fueron impresas en 2 tiras de fotos y con el diseño que pascua que elegimos quedaron muy bonitas.

After taking our photos, we left the booth to pick them up outside. It was immediate, so we didn't have to wait at all. In total, we took three different photos, which were printed on two photo strips, and with the Easter design we chose, they turned out very nice.

Nos fuimos a la feria gastronómica a tomar algo y allí decidimos comer, fuimos directo a un lugar que nos gusta mucho llamado Good Life y pedimos un combo de tilápia empanizada y frita con un acompañamiento de papas fritas y limón.

We went to the food fair for a drink and decided to eat there. We went straight to a place we really like called Good Life and ordered a combo of breaded and fried tilapia with a side of fries and lemon.

Nos sentamos a disfrutar de la comida, conversamos, reímos y la pasamos más que bien. Sin duda fue una Semana Santa diferente pero un plan perfecto que disfrutamos mucho.

We sat down to enjoy the food, chatted, laughed, and had a wonderful time. It was definitely a different kind of Easter, but a perfect plan that we thoroughly enjoyed.
