Como ya les he comentado anteriormente tengo poco más de un año trabajando en una panadería en el área de repostería y de todo el tiempo que tengo trabajando allí me ha quedado más que claro que mi área es la que siempre tiene más trabajo porque son muchas cosas las que tenemos que hacer a diario pero sobre todo los fines de semana y en temporada navideña es aún peor.
As I mentioned before, I've been working in the pastry department of a bakery for a little over a year now, and in all that time, it's become very clear to me that my department is always the busiest because there are so many things we have to do every day, but especially on weekends and during the Christmas season, it's even worse.
En esta época además de hacer el pedido diario para exhibición en las vitrinas también hacemos las encomiendas que para esos días son aún mayores pero además de la producción normal solemos hacer las famosas galletas decoradas de navidad.
During this time of year, in addition to preparing the daily orders for display in the windows, we also handle the extra orders, which are even more numerous during this period. Besides our regular production, we also make the famous decorated Christmas cookies.
Estas galletas normalmente las hace mi jefe, quien se dedica todo el día a ellas, pues, lleva mucho trabajo pintarlas una por una y mientras el se dedica a eso los demás hacemos el resto. Este año pasado lo ayudamos a pintar las galletas y la verdad fue bastante divertido aunque también tedioso.
These cookies are usually made by my boss, who dedicates all day to them. It's a lot of work to paint them one by one, and while he's busy with that, the rest of us do the rest. Last year we helped him paint the cookies, and it was actually quite fun, although also tedious.
Son solo 4 modelos de galletas y son : árbol de navidad, bota navideña, guante, y Santa Claus y como ven todas llevan un diseño diferente, colores diferentes y hasta letras. Para mi quedan muy bonitas y adorables y sin duda son un lindo detalle para obsequiar en esa época.
There are only four cookie designs: Christmas tree, Christmas stocking, glove, and Santa Claus. As you can see, they all have a different design, different colors, and even different lettering. I think they turn out very pretty and adorable, and they're definitely a nice little gift for the holidays.
Las galletas son deliciosas, nunca antes las había probado pero esta vez traje un paquete a casa con una de cada una para así probarlas todas, que si bien el sabor es el mismo quería tener todos los modelos.
The cookies are delicious, I'd never tried them before but this time I brought home a package with one of each kind so I could try them all. Even though the flavor is the same, I wanted to have all the different varieties.
Estas galletas son perfectas para acompañar con café en el desayuno o merienda, en mi caso con café con leche y mejor aún en mi nueva taza navideña que recibí como obsequio de una amiga.
These cookies are perfect to enjoy with coffee for breakfast or as an afternoon snack; in my case, with coffee and milk, and even better in my new Christmas mug that I received as a gift from a friend.
