Here’s the story behind my visit to the café at Silo Café: I was walking through the city, near the historic district an area I love for its rich artistic heritage when I came across a café that looked quite nice and cozy. It also seemed like they served really good coffee, so I didn’t think twice and went right in.
I particularly like specialty coffee because it has many benefits and some qualities I enjoy. I also believe that the atmosphere is important, but the coffee itself should provide the full experience. In my case, I ordered an Americano, I particularly like strong, bold coffees to feel energized.
Above all, I believe coffee is the elixir of life, and for me, it’s a ritual. haha, my Americano this time was made with coffee from the Huila region; it was quite strong, and I paired it with a dessert that was exactly what I wanted a lemon cake filled with blueberry jam. It was perfectly sweet without being cloying at all, with the perfect balance. I loved it, especially with my coffee; in fact, I think the combination was perfect.
Personally, I’ve made it a point to visit the best coffee shops, and in my opinion, they’ve all had their own special touch, and this was something I didn’t know when I started drinking coffee the way I do now—enjoying the experience and learning more about coffee, where it comes from, how it’s made, and many other details that I certainly didn’t know at first but that now keep me engaged in the world of coffee and in visiting the places where the real magic happens.

Conociendo la cafeteria de Silo Café la historia es la siguiente, estaba caminando por la ciudad, en las cercanías del centro histórico, zona que me encanta por su gran arte plasmado, encontré una cafeteria que se veía bastante bonita y cómoda, además de que se veía que había muy buen café, así que no lo pensé tanto y entre de una vez.
En particular me gusta el café de especialidad, porque tiene muchas propiedades y algunas cosas de las que me gusta disfrutar, creo tambien que el espacio es importante pero el café debe darte toda la experiencia completa, en mi caso me pedí un americano, que particularmente me gustan los cafes fuertes, con determinación, para sentirme enérgica.
Principalmente creo que el café es el elixir de la vida, y para mi es un ritual, jaja mi café americano de esta ocasión llevaba un café de la region del Huila, estaba bastante fuerte y lo acompañe con un postre que tenia exacto lo que quería, la torta es de limón con relleno de mermelada de arándanos, con un dulce perfecto porque no empalaga en lo absoluto, con el equilibrio perfecto, me encanto, en conjunto con mi café, de hecho me parece que su combinación fue perfecta.
En lo personal me he dedicado a visitar las mejores cafeterias, que en mi criterio, todas han tenido su toque especial, y esto era algo que yo no sabia cuando empecé a tomar café de la manera en la que lo hago, que es disfrutando la experiencia y conociendo mejor sobre el café, de donde proviene, como lo hicieron y muchos mas detalles que por supuesto no sabia al principio pero que ahora me mantienen involucrada en el mundo cafetero y en las visitas a los sitios donde se hace la verdadera magia.
