Les cuento, mi nombre es María Eugenia, tengo 45 años, y soy madre de dos hijos, estudie Administración Industrial, esta carrera siempre me gustó mucho, ya que tiene un extenso campo laboral, además las materias que en ella se estudian las ponemos en práctica en casi todos los ámbitos en la vida, ejemplo de ello es cuando hacemos un buen uso de los recursos del cual disponemos para el logro de los objetivos o mejor dicho, sacar el mejor provecho, es una realidad que aplica en todo momento, hasta para elaborar una receta de cocina
También todo lo que tiene que ver con manualidades lo disfruto mucho, es un hobby que me relaja y baja un poco la tensión del día a día. En mis tiempos libres he realizado cursos de costura, elaboración de anillos, moldeados de masa flexible y lazos para niñas.
Cuando tengo la necesidad de algo para mi uso personal o de dar un regalo, como accesorios, trato de elaborarlos, me inspiro viendo tutoriales para así tener más ideas.
Soy de las que cree que dar un obsequio ejecutado por uno mismo tiene más valor porque se personaliza de acuerdo al gusto de esa persona que le tenemos tanto cariño.
Además, confieso lo curiosa que soy, desde muy pequeña ha sido así, recuerdo cuando tenía cinco años y llegaba de visita con mis padres, a casa de mi abuela, al entrar a su cuarto me impresionaba ver su armario.
En mi mundo de niña era como un Castillo que tenía grandes tesoros, me quedaba viéndolo a medida que me imaginaba lo que descubriría en su interior, yo le decía, si podía mostrarme y ella sonriente me complacía. Así que, con cuidado y sin apuro, iba sacando sus cofres y cajitas personales que contenían detalles delicados y prendas muy bonitas, no tenían gran valor monetario pero si sentimental.
Allí podía pasar toda la tarde sentada en su cama, descubriendo sus cosas y admirando lo que mostraba.
Casi siempre ocurría, sin que llegase a abusar de su cariño, que cuando alguna de sus pertenencias me llamaba la atención me lo regalaba, sin necesidad de pedírselo, solo al ver mi cara de asombro ante sus cosas. Era lo que más me gustaba, je, je, je, traerme uno de mis hallazgos.
Pues bien, cómo les mencioné, cuando he tenido la oportunidad de aprender de algo que me interesa, presto toda mi atención para que no se me escape ningún detalle.
Hace varios años me entusiasmé en aprender a realizar anillos en piedras de Swarovski, fue una moda que llegó y había en las tiendas de abalorios una gran variedad de piedras para todos los gustos.
Me inscribí en un taller donde tenía que seleccionar cinco modelos que eran los que luego me enseñarían, en ese momento pensé en elegir los que se veían más laborioso para así aprovechar las clases, pero me apasione tanto que quise aprender de más modelos, como tenía el conocimiento básico, que considero es lo más importante para avanzar en cualquier situación, compre varias revistas y amplíe mis habilidades.
La experiencia fue muy bonita, ver los anillos con esas piedras tan llamativas me agradaba tanto que hasta ahora los sigo elaborando, para complacerme y darlos de regalos.
Otro curso en el cual me anime, tuvo que ver con la costura, en este caso en la confección de ropa íntima, iban a dictarlo cerca de mi casa, por lo que era fácil para mí estar a tiempo, ya que iniciaba a la 1 pm, tres días a la semana, por un mes, y además gratuito.
Era una oportunidad que no se podía desaprovechar en algo tan necesario como lo es una panty o un Brasier.
Contaba con una máquina de Coser, había sido un regalo de mi tío, aunque era de un modelo antiguo, estaba en buenas condiciones, tenía buenas puntadas y me sirvió de mucho para practicar en ese momento.
Recuerdo que aprendí hacer patrones de diferentes modelos, a cortar las telas, y técnicas de Costura para cada pieza, para mí fue enriquecedor aprender porque luego me haría mi propia ropa íntima, ese era mi objetivo, fue lo que pensé.
Pero final del curso, había que hacer una exposición con todas las piezas elaboradas, quise llevar el conjunto completo, pero solo lleve tres blomers para la exhibición. Les confieso que con la elástica no fue muy bien en la confección del brasier, por más que me esforzaba, tenía la dificultad de cocerla con la tela, creo que la máquina no me acompañaba tanto en mi intención de realizarlo. Así que me frustre, pero solamente un poco, ya que me quedo la satisfacción de haber participado en la exposición y estrenaría los blúmeres que logré hacer.
En este momento mi máquina tiene un desperfecto, así que no he podido seguir practicando. Tiempo después, cuando inició la pandemia, situación que nos afectó a todos, puesto que, muchas de nuestras actividades fueron interrumpidas y debíamos quedarnos en casa. En esa ocasión una vecina me invitó a que la ayudara, a elaborar apliques para niñas en masa flexible, ella tenía varios pedidos que cumplir, y acepte en colaborar con ella, claro está con las medidas de bioseguridad, luego de explicarme algunos pasos básicos, en cuanto a trabajar con la masa ya estaba lista para empezar.
Aprendí a amasar, a darle color, y con la ayuda de moldes y cortadores realizaba los diferentes apliques que estaban inspirados en Disney de acuerdo a los pedidos de sus clientes.
Cada vez que terminaba una pieza lo imaginaba colocado en un lazo, pensaba en los colores de las cintas que combinarán con el aplique y en mí nació la curiosidad, siempre de curiosa, de ver en tutoriales el paso a paso para hacer lazos.
Así fue, cuando en una ocasión me tocó hacer atrapa sueños, le dije a mi amiga que haría uno más, aparte de los que, ya tenía asignado para colocarlo en uno de los lazos que ya había practicado.
Mi petición fue aprobada, un amable gesto de su parte en regalármelo, así que ya tenía listo el lazo en cinta de colores pasteles y al colocarle el aplique resulto un tierno lazo. Este luego se convirtió en regalo para mi primita de ocho meses, fue de gran satisfacción ver como combinaron estas dos piezas y ver el resultado.
Considero que todo lo que se aprende es muy importante y muchas veces guardan relación, ya que, siempre dan valor agregado a futuros proyectos y manualidades que en algún momento deseemos realizar.
A veces escucho a personas decir que están fastidiadas, que no encuentran que hacer, me cuesta un poco entender eso porque existe un mundo de posibilidades, es necesario sentirse motivado en saber lo que realmente nos hace feliz.
Me gusta aprender para crecer como persona, agradar a mi familia y compartir con amigas, son realmente satisfacciones que hacen sentir bien.

When I need something for my personal use or to give a gift, like accessories, I try to make them, I get inspired by watching tutorials to get more ideas.
I am one of those who believe that giving a gift made by oneself has more value because it is personalized according to the taste of the person we are so fond of.
Also, I confess how curious I am, since I was a little girl, I remember when I was five years old and came to visit my parents at my grandmother's house, when I entered her room I was impressed to see her closet.
In my world as a child it was like a castle that had great treasures, I kept looking at it as I imagined what I would discover inside, I would tell her, if she could show me and she smilingly pleased me. So, with care and without haste, she was taking out her chests and personal boxes that contained delicate details and very nice clothes, they did not have great monetary value but sentimental value.
There I could spend the whole afternoon sitting on her bed, discovering her things and admiring what she showed.
It almost always happened, without abusing his affection, that when one of his belongings caught my attention, he would give it to me, without even asking for it, just by seeing my face of amazement at his things. It was what I liked the most, heh, heh, heh, bringing me one of my finds.
Well, as I mentioned, when I have had the opportunity to learn about something that interests me, I pay all my attention so that no detail escapes me.
Several years ago I was enthusiastic about learning how to make rings with Swarovski stones, it was a trend that arrived and there was a great variety of stones for all tastes in the bead stores.
I enrolled in a workshop where I had to select five models that were then taught to me, at that time I thought to choose those that looked more laborious to take advantage of the classes, but I was so passionate that I wanted to learn more models, as I had the basic knowledge, which I consider is the most important to advance in any situation, I bought several magazines and expand my skills.
The experience was very nice, seeing the rings with those striking stones pleased me so much that until now I still make them, to please myself and give them as gifts.
Another course in which I was encouraged, had to do with sewing, in this case in the making of intimate apparel, they were going to dictate it near my house, so it was easy for me to be on time, since it started at 1 pm, three days a week, for a month, and also free.
It was an opportunity that could not be missed in something as necessary as a panty or a bra.
I had a sewing machine, it had been a gift from my uncle, although it was an old model, it was in good condition, had good stitches and was very useful for me to practice at that time.
I remember that I learned to make patterns of different models, to cut the fabrics, and sewing techniques for each piece, for me it was enriching to learn because then I would make my own intimate apparel, that was my goal, was what I thought.
But at the end of the course, I had to make an exhibition with all the elaborated pieces, I wanted to take the complete set, but I only took three blomers for the exhibition. I confess that with the elastic it did not go very well in the making of the bra, no matter how hard I tried, I had the difficulty of sewing it with the fabric, I think that the machine did not accompany me so much in my intention to make it. So I got frustrated, but only a little bit, since I had the satisfaction of having participated in the exhibition and I would premiere the blouses that I managed to make.
At the moment my machine has a malfunction, so I have not been able to continue practicing.
Some time later, when the pandemic started, a situation that affected us all, since many of our activities were interrupted and we had to stay at home. On that occasion a neighbor invited me to help her, to elaborate appliques for girls in flexible dough, she had several orders to fulfill, and I agreed to collaborate with her, of course with biosecurity measures, after explaining me some basic steps, as to work with the dough I was ready to start.
I learned to knead, to color it, and with the help of molds and cutters I made the different appliqués that were inspired by Disney according to the requests of her clients.
Every time I finished a piece I imagined it placed in a bow, I thought about the colors of the ribbons that would combine with the applique and in me was born the curiosity, always curious, to see in tutorials the step by step to make bows.
So, when it was my turn to make dream catchers, I told my friend that I would make one more, apart from the ones I had already assigned to place it on one of the ribbons I had already practiced.
My request was approved, a kind gesture on her part in giving it to me, so I had the ribbon in pastel colors ready and when I placed the applique on it, it turned out to be a tender ribbon. This then became a gift for my eight month old cousin, it was a great satisfaction to see how they combined these two pieces and see the result.
I believe that everything you learn is very important and many times they are related, as they always give added value to future projects and crafts that at some point we want to do.
Sometimes I hear people say that they are bored, that they can't find what to do, it's hard for me to understand that because there is a world of possibilities, it is necessary to feel motivated to know what really makes us happy.
I like to learn in order to grow as a person, please my family and share with friends, these are really satisfactions that make me feel good.
