Viaje a Mérida / Trip to Merida

Antes de llegar la cuarentena a Venezuela, mi familia y yo pudimos realizar un viaje ¿sabes a dónde fue? A Mérida, hoy les quiero compartir lo que fue nuestro viaje a Mérida uno de los estados ubicado en mi país Venezuela, este forma parte de los estados andinos, esto quiere decir que está rodeada de montañas y su clima es frió, más que todo en las zonas más altas, Mérida es uno de los estados más turísticos de Venezuela, tiene muchos lugares para conocer.

Before the quarantine arrived in Venezuela, my family and I were able to take a trip. To Mérida, today I want to share with you what our trip was to Mérida one of the states located in my country Venezuela, this is part of the Andean states, this means that it is surrounded by mountains and its climate is cold, mostly in the higher areas, Mérida is one of the most touristic states of Venezuela, it has many places to visit.

Después de esta en Mérida logramos alquilar una camioneta la cual nos llevaba a cada lugar y se devolvía a buscarnos. Ya estando en la parte baja del parque sierra nevada apreciamos los paisajes que allí se viven; el rio “chama” era lo único que se podía escuchar en ese lugar, el sonido del agua fluyendo a toda prisa, el clima frió, la vegetación verde y arboles altos, que junto con la luz apropiada de esa tarde, te dejaba tomar las mejores fotos como si fueras el mejor fotógrafo, estando en la cabaña dormimos sin ningún tipo de ventilación más que la natural, y por las noche hacia un frió tremendo.

After this one in Merida we managed to rent a van which would take us to each place and then return to pick us up. Once we were in the lower part of the Sierra Nevada Park we appreciated the landscapes that were lived there; the "chama" river was the only thing that could be heard in that place, the sound of water flowing at full speed, the cold weather, the green vegetation and tall trees, that along with the appropriate light of that afternoon, let you take the best pictures as if you were the best photographer, being in the cabin we slept without any type of ventilation other than the natural one, and at night it was tremendously cold.

Al siguiente día salimos desde temprano al zoológico serró de milla, para eso si nos fuimos en transporte público para conocer un poco la ciudad, las personas fueron muy amables, conocimos el jardín botánico de Mérida, el acuario y el museo de ciencia y tecnología, la cual tenía unas lagunas naturales impresionantes.

The next day we left early to the zoo serró de milla, for that if we went by public transport to know a little the city, people were very kind, we knew the botanical garden of Merida, the aquarium and the museum of science and technology, which had some impressive natural ponds.

Al siguiente día subimos al pico águila, hacia frió pero no tanto como pensaba, a muchos de los que iban en la camioneta les pego el mal del páramo, o mal de la montaña el cual es un malestar que le da a la persona por el cambio tan repentino de altitud, y ya bajando hicimos una parada en el museo dedicado a un arquitecto merideño llamado Juan Félix Sánchez y también visitamos el centro de Mérida, que me quede impresionada por lo distinto que es el centro de Mérida, todo limpio, bien cuidado, y por ultimo quisimos probar unos de los helados populares de la heladería que tiene los récord Guinness, por poseer 860 sabores de helados pero lastimosamente ese día estaba cerrada.

The next day we went up to the Aguila Peak, it was cold but not as cold as I thought, many of those who were in the truck were hit by the moorland sickness, or mountain sickness which is a discomfort that gives the person by the sudden change of altitude, and on the way down we made a stop at the museum dedicated to a southern architect named Juan Felix Sanchez and also visited the center of Merida, I was impressed by how different the center of Merida is, everything is clean, well cared for, and finally we wanted to try one of the popular ice cream shop that holds the Guinness record for having 860 flavors of ice cream but unfortunately that day it was closed.
