Train is one of my favorite transportation. By train I never experience the traffic jam or nausea that really my head spinning around like a wheel. I could also enjoy the views, that is the main reason why I like train so much. Since I was young, I prefer to use train to travel from Bandung to Jakarta. The ticket price is so reasonable as well compare to travel bus or drive my own car.
Kereta api adalah salah satu alat transportasi favorit saya. Dengan kereta saya tidak perlu merasakan macet atau mual yang membuat kepala saya berputar seperti roda. Saya juga bisa menikmati pemandangan, dan ini alasan utama kenapa saya suka banget naik kereta api. Sejak saya muda, saya lebih memilih menggunakan kereta api untuk pergi ke Jakarta. Harga tiketnya juga masuk di akal dibandingkan dengan naik bus atau mengendarai mobil pribadi.
It takes about 3 hours by train from Bandung to Jakarta, and almost always on time. For me, this is important, I use to have tight schedule in Jakarta. Combine with heavy traffic, train become the only logic transportation that I have to choose. The only problem that I have is that I can't smoke, I am a smoker and I need to smoke to be able to breath. But, it is fine, three hours should be ok for me to sleep for awhile if I can't stand it anymore. Besides nice view along the journey really comfort me.
Butuh waktu sekitar tiga jam untuk sampai ke Jakarta dari Bandung, dan hampir selalu on time. Bagi saya, ini penting, karena biasanya jadwal di Jakarta cukup padat. Ditambah dengan jalanan macet, kereta api menjadi sarana tranportasi satu-satunya yang logis yang saya dapat pilih. Masalahnya hanya satu, saya tidak bisa merokok, saya seorang perokok dan butuh rokok untuk bernafas. Tapi, nggak masalah juga, tiga jam masih bisa ditoleransi untuk tidur kalau sudah tidak tahan. Lagipula, pemandangan sepanjang perjalanan membuat saya nyaman.
Bandung Railway Station was opened in 1884 for the purpose to accommodate transportation for the plantation around Bandung area. After several renovations, this railway station was function for passengers until today and almost all train departure schedules are fully booked. I need to buy train ticket to Jakarta at least a week prior departure, otherwise it will be difficult to get the ticket. Thanks to technology, now I can buy it online, different from when I was young, we need to queue until I get bored just to buy the ticket.
Stasiun Kereta Api Bandung diresmikan pada tahun 1884 untuk mengakomodir transportasi perkebunan di sekitar Bandung. Setelah beberapa kali direnovasi, stasiun ini berfungsi untuk penmpang hingga sekarang, dan hampir semua jadwal keberangkatan selalu penuh. Saya harus beli tiket paling tidak seminggu sebelum keberangkatan ke Jakarta, kalau saya tidak mau kehabisan tiket. Untung ada teknologu, sekarang bisa beli onlime, kalau dulu, saya harus antri sampai bosan hanya untuk dapat tiket.
There are a lot of trains that depart from this railway stations, not only to Jakarta. We can go to a lot of cities around Java island, such as Cirebon, Semarang, Jogyakarta, Malang, and Surabaya from Bandung by train. There are different kind of train as well, from economy class, business class, to executive class. For me all is fine actually, all are clean and in a good condition, but I always choose at least business class, because I do really need to arrive as possible to my destination. I need to smoke!!! Hahaha....
Ada banyak kereta api yang berangkat dari stasiun ini, bukan hanya yang ke Jakarta. Kita bisa pergi ke banyak kota di pulau Jawa, seperti Cirebon, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang dan Surabaya dari Bandung dengan naik kereta. Ada banyak juga jenisnya, mulai yang dari kelas ekonomi, bisnis, sampai yang kelas eksekutif. Semuanya baik, bersih dan bagus, tapi saya biasa memilih paling tidak yang kelas bisnis, karena saya butuh segera tiba di tujuan. Saya butuh rokok!!! Hahaha...
