Today I drove down to Helsinki to for the Finnish Go Federation 30th Anniversary Dinner at restaurant Loiste next to the main railway station. After the welcoming toast, we had a 9x9 tournament. I was in the toughest group with Vesa Laatikainen, 5 dan, and Lauri Paatero, 4 dan, and Olli Lounela, 3 dan. I lost only to Vesa Laatikainen. I'm satisfied with the results. My own rank is 3 dan.
I walked past Stockmann department store from where I had parked my car. Still Stockwomann. PC idiots. It's a proper noun, a name.
My first game. I was white in all of the games.
The cabinet with the celebrating members of the federation.
About 30 were present.

After dinner, I did not want to go to a pub because I could not drink because I came by car. Instead, I went on a walk in the centre of Helsinki with a go playing friend of mine from Tampere I've known for about 15 years. He is a much more advanced photographer than I. We talked mainly about photography.
