After today's two rounds in the Nordic Go Championship tournament, I chilled for a few hours at the tournament venue. When got dark, I went to take these long exposures in the city centre. I parked my car at the market square which was free of charge at the time (Long Friday night).
Pohjois-Esplanadi (North Esplanade) towards the west.
Helsinki Cathedral. It's Lutheran.
The crossing of Pohjois-Esplanadi and Unioninkatu
Restaurant Kappeli
With a 10 second exposure time, cars will show only as red lines from their tail lights. Uspenskij Catherdal in the background. It's the main orthodox cathedral in the city.
Kauppahalli (Market Hall). This is where they sold salmon in a wood tar spiced salmon to Andrew Zimmern in the Finland episode of his show.
Silja Line (not in the picture right now), one of the Sweden ferries, uses this quay.
Viking Line uses this side. The ships have sailed at around six pm.
